the lost loyalty and other bonuses/incentives lost with a transfer request can go well into 7 figures
Has Rooney gone on to play Golf yet? I'm not believing this injury story until I see him with clubs. Damn I'm bored
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ing-Chelsea-defender-Kenneth-Omeruo-loan.html the Fail has Liverpool, WBA and Swansea all interested in Omerou. I would prefer Swansea out of those candidates with Ashley Williams looking to leave.
If Agger leaves for Barca I think the time spent with Rodgers would be fantastic. If not then WBA and Clarkey.
talk of Skrtel to Napoli as well WBA actually have a decent CD pairing atm and if Williams leaves Swansea they have an immediate opening in a much more possession based system which imo would benefit Omerou more
Agree with fern, however some about our 5th best CB playing regularly at Liverpool just warms my heart.
Not entirely sure but I believe the "loyalty" bonus, which also sometimes includes a testimonial game, would stay sacrificed, unless waived or renegotiated, which often happens if a player stays to avoid a total meltdown situation
ESPN, Telegraph, Daily Mail, Guardian some are saying he "will" hand one in, others are suggesting he already has
Is Rooney going to be Ash 2.0? I feel that the attention that he receives will be another aspect to juggle on the pr end. People love to hate Chelsea, this just adds fuel to the flame. Not that i'm against him signing, just acknowledging that the papers are going to love it just as much and really dig in deeper to uncover some more Madams lol
No, not until we have a replacement. And he's worth far more than a measly £35m. He's one of the best central defenders in the world. If he wants out, we need to gauge how bad he wants out. We then find a replacement. Then we sell him to those feckers...
I'm sure club definitely have some in their databank. Personally I won't even conider any bid ahead of World cup next year. Luiz is optimum good PR.
I guess the question is what the player wants. It's not the only question of course, but it is relevant. He seems genuinely happy at Chelsea, but it is tough so compete with Barca, especially involving South American players. PSG paid €42 mil for Thiago Silva last year and €31.4 mil for Marquinos this summer. How does DL compare to those players - the two most recent cb transfers I can find. We paid €30 mil for him a few years ago, Barca has a huge need at CB, and we hate them, so I'm thinking about €45?
as stated above for me it comes down to Luiz if he wants the move then I think the club will sell him. The key issue is getting the right money for him and getting it in time to sort out a replacement. Just to clarify I do not think that the initial offer of 35 mil should be accepted even if David wants to move. Atm we have Cahill, JT, Ivan, Kalas and Omerou which is not too bad. I am not sure that is enough to push us to the level we need to be to win trophies to it not quite as bad as it initially appears.
That's 0 world class defenders, including one who's way past his prime, two that have never started a Premier League game and another whom the manager primarily sees as a RB. If we're actually planning on challenging for trophies, that's nowhere near good enough. Thiago Silva was 30 when he was sold while Marquinhos has barely gotten a game for Brazil. If Barca want Luiz, given our paucity of top class central defenders as well as the awful market for CBs right now, nothing less than 60M should be the price. As for whether Luiz wants to move, he'd hardly be the first player who wanted to move but wasn't permitted. Last I checked Lewandowski is still a Dortmund player. Luiz has a contract for at least 2 more years as I recall - we aren't a selling club and don't need to sell to Barca.
I plead the fifth, barely survived the last pitchforks and effigy burning last time this was brought up
