United, can be taken up by the fans groups of NYRB (being their Chief Rivals for the Atlantic Cup). The perfect opportunity in 2014 season can be on Sep-10, when NYRB takes on D.C. at the RBA (as the only such game in 2014 no less). Coincidentally, as the Winners of 2013 Supporters' Shield, NYRB fans can add even more spice to this occasion by displaying the GIGANTIC SS banner for themselves, alongside the HUGE Spoon for D.C. The contrast can't be starker than this!!

WELL, the Shield is more meaningful (the Ultimate) to me as its the closest we thing have to winning the league. And for the record.... sneaking into an easy to make playoff system, getting hot for a few matches and winning the cup would be nice as well.
Will the Welcome Banner be presented during the game vs DC later? (before finally relinquishing the SS to Seattle/L.A. in a few weeks time...)
