The NPSL is headed to South Florida to participate in the Florida Soccer Expo (FSE). The league, along with local NPSL team Miami United, will be setting up exhibits at the event. They are also expected to be part of panel discussions on the state of the game in America.
The organizers of FSE have put together a two-day, multi-tiered event at Sun Life Stadium geared towards fans, coaches, referees, exhibitors, youth clubs, and their families. Over 8,000 people are expected to converge at the stadium on September 14th and 15th between 9:00 am – 6:00 pm.
Proceeds of food and beverage from this event will go towards helping Fugees Family, a non-profit organization that helps child survivors of war rebuild their lives, one step at a time, through soccer. That organization was the subject of a best-selling book from Warren St. John of the New York Times.
The event will host a trade show, indoor soccer tournament, coaching clinics, and interactive areas organized by FSE partners, including Absolute Street Soccer, Revo Soccer and the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers. With the support of Miami and Broward Sports Commission, Florida State Soccer Association, Florida Youth Soccer Association, The Miami Dolphins and other key institutional partners, FSE will serve as the aggressive soccer receiver, covering all aspects of the game. Over 60 exhibitors will be present including ESPN Radio, Telemundo Network, Diloa Sports, and Admiral. All weekend, a youth 3v3 soccer tournament will hit the pitch of six indoor soccer fields, created uniquely for this event, inside level 200 of the stadium.
A wide variety of soccer and sports-related products, gear and equipment, food and drink samplings, and other consumer goods and services will round out a weekend of soccer and its growth as an industry.
Evolution is imminent in life and sport, and at the expo, event goers will experience the debut of new ground-breaking takes on soccer with global games including Futtoc, Footgolf and Futwall. In addition, Sun Life Stadium will host full-access tours through the professional locker rooms and the stadium every 3 hours during the event.
Daily tickets are $17 for adults, $9 for kids under 18, and $12 for seniors 65 years and older. Family four-packs are available for $36.
Friends of the NPSL can receive 20% off any admission by entering the code at FSEPROMO at FloridaSoccerExpo.com. Tickets can also be purchased at Ticketmaster and the Sun Life Stadium box office.
