One of the second wave of Hungarian players following the mighty Magyars of the fifties has passed away at the age of seventy. He was a tall elegant forward with excellent technique and close control and a prolific striker for the sole club he played for Ferencvaros and Hungary. Indeed he was young player of the 1962 World Cup and joint top scorer alongside luminaries like Garrincha. His abilities earned him the European Golden Ball in 1967 and is the only Hungarian to do so. The Emperor is dead long live the Emperor.
I dont know much about his career, only what everyones knows, what i know is that Florian was one those player with a quick passage in my team, Flamengo, like Yashin and Garrincha, and even Pelé (only a friendly match). http://www.flamengo.com.br/flapedia/Florian_Albert
