I apologise if this has already been discussed, but I thought I'd dig up and old subject for debate.

In 2004 Sepp Blatter was asked about improvements for Womens football, and was lambasted from all quarters for the following comments:

"Tighter shorts, for example, In volleyball the women also wear other uniforms than the men. Pretty women are playing football today. Excuse me for saying that."

Now given the increase in revenue that could be gained through crowds, TV and sponsers, did he have a good point.

Is it time to re-evaluate the situation, and seriously consider the proposal for the good of the Women's game..

Do you not think the game could be thrust forward and stadia filled, by appealing to more men and making them come.

Oh, absolutely, but I'm not sure that making men come is what women should be playing football for.

But surely the more men that come (not to mention the females who...err...like the look of womens bodies shall we say), then the more money is going to be brought into the sport, and thus facilities, coverage, popularity (more girls taking up the sport) will all benefit.

    Seriously?

No. Sorry. Trolling isn't what this forum is for.

Nice try though. Feel free to come back when you want to talk about the women's game/teams as opposed to posting sexist bullshit.
