In fairness, someone has to have a week off every game day with an odd number of teams. Sometimes it's good to have your bye week when you've got a Wednesday game the week before or after, but in the words of the great philosopher Tony Soprano, "Whaddayagonnado?"

Or possibly Bob Kraft's insistence that we have an extra week to scrub the other team's logo from "50 yard line" -

It won't be gone - even with a bye week.

I don't think it makes much sense to push for home games during a season that you know you aren't going to draw well. It's not going to provide a great "home field advantage" to play in front of a small crowd.

Play a few games focusing on a disciplined road game, collect some points while opponents are still trying to find their game and then cash in the extra home games when the weather improves, the team is starting to find a rhythm and people are more likely to come out.

People are more likely to come out for the last two games of the season, as we've noticed the last couple of years. Let's just play 32 road games (as a warmup) and then two home games. Man, they'd be sold out!

Well once again, we've figured out a way to fix the Revs problems! :D

Based on the existing/currently expected signings, and injury situations, here's what I think the opening day lineup will be:

    Bengtson - Fagundez
    Nguyen - Cisse - Toja - Rowe
    Alston - Goncalves - Soares - Freeman
    Reis

    Bench:
    1. Simms
    2. Dorman
    3. Imbongo
    4. Tierney
    5. McCarthy
    6. 1st round draft pick or Caldwell
    7. Shuttleworth

If Nguyen is still hurt, Tierney plays for him at LM and Nyassi takes his spot on the bench. It's better (and will be moreso when Sene is back) but I'm still not sure it's ENOUGH better to be a top 4-5 team in the East given that SKC/DC/NYRB will be reloaded and have 1st - 3rd essentially locked up.

I guess we don't need to play the games :D

Seriously, this is MLS where wild swings in teams fortunes can easily happen.
I'm not saying your prediction might not come true but don't you think we might just wait to see how the various teams rosters flesh out during preseason before anointing those three as eventual conference leaders.

We should probably wait to see who RBNY gets to coach them first! ;)

Since we 'essentially' know what the top 3 in the east will look like, why can't the revs finish 4th or 5th? That's a better starting 11 (on paper at least) than at any point in the post-Twellman era.

Also, who wins MLS Cup? Just want to know who I should be placing bets on and Marty McFly isn't responding to my calls.
