While perusing my Season Ticket Account manager listing of the Fire games this year, there was an entry for June 22nd referencing a game against Cracovia-BNG18 at 8:00 PM.

After an internet search, I see that Cracovia is a team in the Polish first division, but no references to what the BNG18 is.

It looks like this will be set up as one of the bonus games.

Anybody have ideas if this is the parent club or not?

And BNG18 means nothing to you?

I don't even know who you are anymore.

    :D

Does anyone know who BNG18 is? Big National Group?

If this is happening, at least they were smart enough to schedule it between Gold Cup games at SF and not opposite.

That's gonna be a busy four-day stretch though.

BNG18 = Bonus Game 18? (not consistent with the TBD, A, B, C on the actual tickets, though)

Didn't show up in my Account Manager.

I believe you're correct. The game against Celtic is listed as Fire vs Celtic FC-Game 17.

The Account Manager seems to work haphazardly. I had to come in through the Toyota Park site to get the option to view all my tickets to come up again.

In a Polish-American accent: "Bring No Good 18" - this polish pipsqeeck team will bring there worst 18 players.

...and we'll play them with our reserves.

Didn't we give you your own thread?

Hopefully we won't see a battle of the reserve teams. I am looking forward to the fact that since it is a Polish team I will be able to smoke in the stadium. The Polish games are the only ones where you can smoke in your seats and no one cares.

I've got news for you skipper: we are all going to die, for one reason or another. So you can ban: smoking, foi gras, transfats, canabis, exposure to the sun, alcohol, or whatever else might shorten your life..............but you are still going to die! Another typical American Sh!thead.

Remind me why they banned foie gras (other then fattening the geese)? That killed a little bit of my cooking career here in Chicago :( Damn PETA

hahaha... thats ridiculous, i can't even imagine ever seeing a fan of both. i might understand because your grandpa might have played for cracovia... but you have to pick one or the other mate... but then again if you aren't in Krakow, i guess you might be able to get away with it :p

It is such crap that the Fire have had virtually NO publicity for either this match or the Celtic match.

I emailed my ticket rep (and his supervisor) for three weeks without response about getting promotional material for the matches. I wanted a simple poster or something to advertise the groups I want to bring. I finally spoke with him yesterday and he stated that the Fire have not had any posters or other material printed about these matches.

He went on to say that ticket sales have been very slow for these matches. Not a big fricking surprise since there has been no publicity.

Before anyone jumps on me for bitching in this forum, instead of complaining to the Fire, I have already contacted them repeatedly, as mentioned above. I have also sent an email to Dan Parise, Head of Marketing for the Fire expressing my displeasure.

How much effort would it take for the Fire front office to go to Cafe Lura and few other shops, cafes, bars in the area with a stack of 11x 17 fliers?
    It's really pathetic.

Has there been nothing in the local Polish language press?
    How about Polish radio?

I will be at Cafe Lura tomorrow night seeing my friends' band and, if the Fire gave me the goddamn posters, I would post them there.

The front office would not even have to venture into the neighborhoods, I am willing to do the work. What's pathetic is that I am willing to do their f'n job for them, and they have not bothered to print the f'n signs.

My girlfriend runs a Polish bar on Belmont, and I am been trying to get a group together (see my earlier posts in this thread), which is what started this thing.

Oh, and Dan Parise has not returned my email.

The Fire are really pissing me off.

I hear ya man...I did that for them a few years ago in my local Hispanic owned soccer shops and taquerias....they were cooperative and sent me a high res pdf to print off of....that was under the PW regime though.
The feedback from the shop owners was that they have always felt neglected and overlooked by the Fire.
    -shrug-
    Perpetual 12k-15k....no duh.

    edit- you're friends with vikings?

    If you want to hear something hilarious;

When we bought the group tickets for Toronto, TFC sent - express mail - a stack of 11x17 posters (25 or so) to us "to promote the event" even though they were TFC branded and totally useless to us, and we'd already essentially sold all the tickets anyhow.

They didn't even ask, they just sent them - and we aren't even in the same country. I think they're gathering dust in a box somewhere now.

So much for Guppy's promise of better customer service, if we as die-hard fans get good service, what's going to make others want to become fans if they are going to be treated so poorly!

Maybe they've over-extended themselves and need the rest, from appearing at things like either of the St. Patrick's day parades, the Gay Pride Parade or....wait, nevermind, they never bothered to do things like that either!
