MacD and Alex on at half.

    MacD-Rolfe
    Pappa-Alex-Pause-Flaco

we have so much posession, the two d mids are not needed. a finish is.

That goal was the best through ball I've ever seen Pappa make. For all his great dribbling and shooting, his passing is still shit.

Frankie time to take out one of the defensive midfielders, we are losing to the worst team in the league and we are playing home (they have let in 38 goals only Montreal has let in more 43).

Take out Oduro and Pause/Pardo and bring in Alex, MacDonald or Nyarko.

Frank started the line-up I wanted so blame me. Not much to say about the Pappa gaffe. We had plenty of chances. I'd like to shake it up at the half and as long as Fernandez is good to go, bring in Nyarko & Macdonald for Oduro & Pappa, who just don't have the touch tonight. BTW, I'd like to see the league take a look at the Ryan Johnson collision with Pause. Only in Olympic basketball is that not an illegal pick, it was deliberate and should at least lighten his wallet.

******** that it's time to sit one of the defensive midfielder and Oduro.

Agreed. I'm (unlike you probably), OK that we started two d-mids. Except for a moment of idiocy from Pappa, this game should have been ours to just sit in front of the Toronto goal and hammer away until the goals came. While that was happening, Pardo/Pause acted as a de facto backline at the center circle and helped play just keep cycling around the attacking half. Unfortunately none of the half chances that were created could be finished.

But, given how easy it was for our d-mids to work, and how little our CBs were called on, it should be able to be done with just Pause and a CB stepping up when needed.

    Actual Subs:

    Mac on for Oduro
Nyarko on for Flaco, who the announces said was limping? anyone verify?

Can't really complain if Flaco really was hurt, but it does suck, because he was way better than Pappa, and should have been the one to come out. Also, no d-mid comes out because three changes can't all be made at half.

I would hope to see Alex for Pardo by the 60-70' range

    Thoughts so far:
For whatever reason, we aren't maintaining nearly the same possession this half.
What does Frank see in Anibaba at FB? I realize Gargan wasn't great, but Anibaba looks useless
Fire get a freekick 4o yards out and hugging the touchline, Pappa wastes it by shooting instead of floating it in.

Was a mistake, but Pappa put a lot of hustle into making that happen. That should have been the keepers ball. But yes, he still been poor overall.

MacDonald has been fantastic so far. His holdup play is great. Just provided a great through ball for Pappa too.

    I like what I see.

Logan Pause taken down in/just outside the box. No penalty/foul called, as the ref cannot believe that Logan Pause was in/just outside the box.

Edt: He was immediately subbed out.
Evan Whitfield: "That could have been a yellow card for Pause." A dive by Pause??? Who would have thought.

Not really sure why...saw the yellow for the challenge. Was there some words with the ref?

The fire are going to win this game.

I had a party for my interns today, so I missed going to the game (and missed the first half on tv).
