Anibaba isn't a fullback. Gargan might not be good going forward, but at least he can defend the wings. I would rather have a fullback who is rooted at home than one who can't play the position

Practice. Friendlies. Reserve matches. Training. Things where points aren't in the balance. He should come in at the end of games, when things are safely put away, and he can gain minutes and fitness without hurting the offense. If we are losing, we can bring in somebody fitter to make a difference.

Seriously? By working hard in training. Games are not the ideal circumstance to build fitness. They may be OK for the player, but for the team . . .

Did you watch him in the San Jose game? He looked like he may have some talent, but he was clearly out of shape. I'd much rather have Oduro on the field running at the TFC defenders. As it is, he's probably only worth using as a late game sub, but I guess we'll see tomorrow.

I don't care who starts or what formation we play. Just win. 1-0 is fine. 14-13 is fine. Just ********ing WIN.
cchchaplain, lurak and Redmaynard repped this.

Frank has used all three subs in all but two games this season, the Chivas game, and the rain-shortened Houston game.

To start a game knowing you will have to sub a specific player limits the ability of the team to make in game adjustments, so now you have put you have put the team at a disadvantage as compared to your opponent, because you have one less sub to respond to tactical changes, injuries, cards, sloppy play, etc.

Most of FKs subs come with at least 20 minutes of play left, and are tactical changes to either hold on to a lead, or chase another goal. From time to time he does give a player a meaningless 5 minute run out, but I would say that is the exception to his subbing strategy.

Last year, I seem to remember there were times where it seemed Frank forgot he could even use subs, and would only use 1 or 2 a game. If that were still the case, then it would be ok to use a sub before the game even starts. But it isn't, and its not

This would be an opportunity to see how long Macdonald can go.

On second thought, there is supposed heavy storms tonight, so maybe he shouldn't play at all. Our luck he would get hit by lightning.

Nyarko, Alex, MacDonald all on the bench. For the first time, we actually have players on the bench, not warm bodies

I promise I'll jump into a vat of Drew Carey's stomach acid, but first, Chicago looks really dangerous. Just wanted to say good luck vs. Toronto.

We are basically camped in Toronto's half. Even Pause has spent most of his time on the good side of the halfway line.

Edit: ****...Pappa with the world's worst back pass, and Toronto scores. Pause may backpass too often, but at least his connect with the target.

We just gave up a joke of a goal, but we are so much better than this team it's not even funny. If we don't win this game I will be very upset.

I don't want to hear about Oduro's speed. The guy can't do a damn thing with the ball at his feet. And the way this game is playing out, his foot speed is neutralized by a very short field.
