For those of you that have Directv, the game will be LIVE on GolTV tomorrow morning 9AM ET on channel 614.

This should be a great match. Had it not been for the points deduction, Fiorentina would be in second place in the table now, and theyve won 4 straight matches. I especially look forward to seeing Luca Toni play against his former team, and itll be interesting to see if Palermo has fixed the defense yet

I'm so glad I can watch it live on TV this time. Toni has some sort of injury but will be itching to play and he will probably. Fiorentina right now has 4 straight wins. This can be a tough away game.

We (Fiorentina) have a lot of injury problems right now. Not enough, though. Not from Palermo's point of view.

1-1 at the half. Palermo took the lead on a nicely worked goal. Amauri broke through 2 defenders and chipped it into the box with the outside of his right foot and Di Michele angled a nice drive into the corner.

Fiorentina tied on a shot from Pasqual, Fontana saved it, but the rebound hit off of Barzagli and went in. Unlucky.

    Exciting First Half

I hate to qualify that as an own-goal by Barzagli as he pretty much had no prayer. What can a player even do ?

Palermo's goal was a nice counter-attack with Amauri springing DiMichele. Fiorentina are playing better though.

    Grande Amauri! Such determination!

Unlucky Barzagli ... from where he stood, it was inevitable. Priceless look from Della Valle when Palermo scored. I also want to mention that Fiorentina played very well :) Exciting play from both sides.

2 wonderful games this weekend. Milan derby and this one. 4 straight wins! Ale ale Palermo!

    what a palermo win...

    1-1

    then palermo score

    2-1

with very little time left fiorentina score to save the tie

    2-2

but at the 90min mark palermo come through

    3-2!!!

What a great game!! Palermo is hsowing the world that they are for real. Amauri had a fantastic game, he's turning out to be the best off-season signing, his 2nd goal is arguably the goal of the year. I'm looking forward to watching Palermo continue their success.

    Forza Palermo!!!

Bravo! Great game! Montolivo had a beautiful slalom for Fiorentina in the 87th with Mutu knocking in the rebound. However, the credit must go to Amauri who wasn't satisfied with the tie and went for the low shot from the left side giving Palermo the win. That was a beautiful ending/goal to a very exciting match.

Palermo is very lucky Fiorentina didn't know how to finish today. Fiorentina could've atleast been winning 5-1 if they finished chances, but they didn't and Palermo scored on all their shots so they deserve the win.

Another Great Game this Weekend in Serie A

quality stuff. Cassani totally played Montolivo wrong on his goal. He allowed him to advance way too much. Barzagli was furious at Cassani for that as he had to compensate for Cassani's mistake by not paying attention to Mutu entirely. Cassani was out of his element when he came on. Was unlucky not to be shown a straight red on his tackle moments before.

As was said, Fiorentina were actually the better team on the day and at WORST deserved at least a draw. Fantastic goal by Amauri. Great individual skill beating Dainelli and then Reginaldo on the dribble. Then a perfect shot to the inside corner.

I was disappointed when Palermo gave up that second goal--they played that poorly. Then they struck right before the end. Amazing. They have a lot of confidence in their offensive power. However, I do agree that they were outplayed and could have easily lost that game.

I just finished watching the game on tape... Wow...

    FORZA PALERMO!!!!!

We were obviously lucky to get the win. Some parts of this game confused me, like the mess for a while in the second half when there was no offence and no ideas. As was the move of Bresciano to striker, but I suppose it was worth a try. Anyway, thanks to Fontana and Biava for blocking so many shots. And Amauri did have the game of his life!

Wow...what a game what a GAME! By far the most exciting game ive seen Palermo play this year. It's too bad Barzagli got the OG as he was in the wrong place at the wrong time, but he had a good game otherwise. Luca Toni seemed quite rusty coming off an injury as he had quite a few big misses. And Amauri's second goal was one for the highlight reel! Despite being outplayed, Palermo's still finding ways to win. Way to go Palermo!

I watched the domeinca sportiva last night and Francesco Guidolin was on in a phone interview. He was talking about Sepp Blatter's derogatory comments towards Italian soccer. He was saying how he is very happy to see all 3 Sicilian side's in the top 10 of the Serie A and that even though everyone believes so , the Serie A is still one of the toughest divisions of football in Europe.

Supposedly, there was also an article in the English publication the Financial Times denouncing Italian soccer also and Guidolin reminded everyone that Italy was the World Champion and that everyone should take it to heart.

Guidolin also said that even though now they are in first place that they know they will not win the Serie A that Inter is too high in depth as are other teams. He said he only hopes that Palermo finish in the top 4 to make the CL at the very least.

Kudos to you guys. Our finishing sucked and Amauri was lights out. I thought we got jobbed by the refs a bit, but I always do.

Guidolin has excused himself and his players if to some extent they were overzealous in their celebrations after the game. He said that he has nothing against Florence and Fiorentina but it was something in the future he will tell (probably the disagreement with Della Valle?). Different reception from Milan as Berlusconi personally congratulated him after the game.

So how was fan behavior during this game? Fines for Fiorentina 25,000 euros Palermo 3,000 euros.

    Palermo
    - for having its supporters ignite 2 fumogeni (flares?)

    Fiorentina
    - for having its supporters ignite all in all two Bengala and two fumogeni in the course of the contest
    - for launching in the field, altogether nine bottles (minis) in the fence area and to the opposing fans’ area
    - at the end of the match, at the entrance to the dressing rooms of the squads, chanted a chorus for approximately 15 seconds, with expressions that constitute racial discrimination directed to the opposing players

Not to make a big deal of this but I just read it somewhere.
