Predict Portugal failure while bigging up own country.

Own country gets knocked out while Portugal reaches quarters/semis.

Seems to be a recurring trend every major international tournament.

I don't know if they're the best (Spain is still excellent in that department). However, Bento has them playing a very well organized defensive system for sure. And they can score. Ronaldo makes their counter attack one of the deadliest in international football.

Things are only going to get better with Fernando and William Carvalho coming into midfield. Such a significantly huge upgrade. Meireles' time is done, Veloso might get in due to his skill on the ball and passing but William Carvalho and Fernando can both drive forward as well. Bruma as a sparkplug is big too.

I'm honestly quietly excited (quiet because Portugal always chokes when expectations are raised) about the World Cup now when previously being apprehensive...off sets my severe depression about Moyes a bit.

Thanks yet again Fifa. Major international events should never be held in the third world.

I am shocked at how overconfident USMNT fans are. They honestly think the MLS is better than at least half of the teams in the major European leagues. Has it always been this bad?

Yup. The US board is easily the most delusional. Words can't explain the thoughts and opinions that are expressed over there.

And that board has the most traffic as well.

Some one please tell me you have the post book marked. There was a post that compared each US player to maybe Germany or Brazil. I can't even begin to explain.

My move in fifa is usually to play Queresma and Nani on the wings and Ronaldo up top. Shame it doesn't work like that in real life.

Ha ha...From the world cup on-wards your location is going to be Brazil permanently instead of Connecticut.

BTW- That's one helluva intimidating avatar.

    1. Maybe 1% of MLS fans think that and they are delusional.
    2. What does MLS have to do the the USMNT? MLS players are the minority on the National team. Most players play abroad in Europe...

Don't ask me. Ask the American fans that claim what I've said.
