Well if you enjoy feeding the trolls then be my guest. Would you like to see what would happen if we didn't handle the mess that comes afterwards? What you said about the Iranians weren't helpful for example. Neither was your response to a Polish member about Poland.

    looks like seeds will be:
Pot 1: Brazil, Spain, Argentina, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Colombia and Uruguay(if they qualify)
Pot 2: Japan Aussies, Iran, Korea, USA, Costa Rica, Honduras (New Zealand or Mexico)
Pot 3: Ecuador, Chile, Ghana, Nigeria, Ivory Coast,
Pot 4: Russia, Bosnia, England, Netherlands, Italy,

    gonna be some ridiculous groups.

    Dream scenario:
    Switzerland/Colombia
    Korea
    Nigeria
    Bosnia

    We should top the group

I think I'd prefer if there was a clear #1 in the group and the remaining three battle for the second spot. It gets too messy when all the teams are evenly matched and it comes down to goal difference.

pot 3 will have ecuador, chile, 5 CAF teams, and 1 UEFA team?
pot 4 will have russia, bosnia, england, netherlands, italy, and 3 UEFA teams?

Like 2010? I've told my friends to root for Argentina because if Nigeria or Greece drew/won against them, it would've lessened our chances advancing to 2nd rd.

only a rough estimate based on last world cups pots. since there will be one less african team they might change it up but 4 AFC and 4 Concacaf seems to work as a pot even if its 4 AFC 1 OFC and 3 Concacaf. in the 06WC draw it looks like they just had one euro team in its own pot rather than in a random one with africa or asia to prevent more than 2 euro teams in a group.

    So we could potentially have:
    Argentina
    Korea
    Nigeria
    Greece

It's deja vu all over again.

If we're making a a dream possible group for us, I'd rather have in our group:

    Colombia
    Burkina Faso
    Iceland

Because despite the fact KNT has been stuck on mediocrity for last decade, fanboys still think the team is better than the record and the actual performance on the field would indicate.

probably because Colombia is inexperienced in World Cup compared to other teams (so is Belgium, but that team is stacked all around compared to Colombia.. who are attack/FW heavy). although, i would rather face Switzerland as seeded team instead.

Because clearly the KNT's quality has an impact on desired which top seed we'd like to face.

If we can't find a striker who can consistently score (and I don't think Son is really our answer), it won't matter which group we are in.

The only solution is Park. He is the best striker we've got. And I agree with Son. Talented, without doubt, but he is just not a frontman. Maybe a secondary striker lagging behind Park imo.

As for the game against Mali, I don't know how to take it. I thought it was an amazing result since Mali is supposedly ranked far higher than us in the FIFA ranking (which is a bit of a joke I know). But then I realised that they played terribly in their qualifiers and fielded their 1.5 team against us. And watching the match replay, they didn't seem that good at all especially in the second half for some reason. The next match against Switzerland should make it clear where we stand before the world cup.

It really won't make any difference. I can pretty much predict how the team will finish, either (1) one win, one loss, one draw or (2) one loss, 2 draw

Optimisically, I don't see KNT, winning more than one game.

At most pcy will give us 1 goal like in 2010. I'm sure SHM can take on that huge burden.

Well, he is without Lee Dong Guk (probably?) this time round, so you never know. I'd prefer Park than Son up front.

Even with the context of losing to the top seed, it would be better to face a lower horsepower team than say Spain or Brazil who could crush our GD.

So discussing who we'd want as top seed is still independent of whether we think KNT is world beaters or the worst team in the tourney.
