The 2014 Winter Olympic in Russia might tell us whether Russia are capable of hosting an international sporting event in their huge country. But hosting the World Cup in a country like Qatar...... I mean I can understand spreading the game around, but...seriously. qatar is riduclously hot and the players are actually going to die

yep. i'm planning on going with a brazilian friend who lives in Rio, but i really doubt he will want to come with me to see a korea game (hopefully they will qualify!). saving as much $ as I can. Can't believe it's only 1.5 years away.

As soon as it was announced that Brazil was going to host WC 2014, I thought that I would do everything in my power to make it over there....especially since I missed WC 2002 in Korea. Biggest mistake ever! So, hopefully things will pan out, and I will make it to Brazil. What a carnivale of football it will be. And especially considering the next 2 WCs are in rather sh1tty locations.....it's almost a must-do!

just for fun, how much dollars would it cost for one person's round trip tickets, hotel, travel, food, and game tickets(3 games minimum) would cost ? 6 grand ? 7 grand ? -------------------------- just quickly googed brazil air tickets and i see around 700 bucks for one way ticket. that can't be true. so maybe 2000 for round trip, another 1000 for food and travel, 1500 for hotel stays (10-15 days) and 500x3 for game tickets. 6000 for an experience of a lifetime. definitely manageable. only if i had a green card.
I would do this if I wasn't poor as ********. I was supposed to go with my friends, one of whom has a rich neurosurgeon father who was going to pay for ALL of us, but that never panned out. I think I'm just going to do a Breaking Bad, use my science knowledge to make drugs, and then go. I mean, if I go with drug money, I'll fit in better in Brazil anyway.
