I wish the KNT would have a friendly somewhere on the East Coast for once. Too bad the KNT would never face Canada in a friendly.

Be a good son and get your parents a nice three-week vacation.

Ahh yes. And wasn't that red card relatively early in the game? We had to play 10 men defense majority of the match.

I still try my best to erase that 5-0 defeat against Holland from my memory. Cha Bum-Keun couldn't take accountability for his sh*tty coaching.

i never understood the logic of good player = good coach. if im thinking of the right person mourinho never played a professional game in his life. or was it some italian dude? i forget.

You're thinking of Arrigo Sacchi. And Mourinho never made it as a footballer either.

Then there's the decent but great managers like Hiddink and SAF.

But then there's the greats footballer and manager like der Kaiser and Cruyff (or Guardiola in the modern age) to counterbalance your argument.

damn you're right, it's that guy. my footballing interest has shot up since joining bsk, i think i might pick up a book by one of these guys.

it's true there are players that became great coaches and we just witnessed that with our own team with hmb. the olympic tournament win could be considered the 2nd best tournament in our history.

i would credit his mental aptitude for defense and charisma for the success we've seen.

also i imagine pjs will have a go at it as well, thought i'm not sure he'd be as good a manager as hmb.

PJS is not going to be a manager. He'll probably become some form of ambassador to "Asian football" or some crap like that...

I actually have high hopes for DR Cha. Not necessarily as a manager. But he's precisely the type of person we need running the KFA in the future.

If anyone were to become a great manager in that next generation of KNT members, it is LYP imo.

Not so good. His team is currently 15th out of the 16 teams.

To be fair, Daejeon isn't exactly a team stacked with quality players.

You guys can hate me on this one, but I think YSC just doesn't know how to use his players. He has a decent amount players who can win games for him. (Kim Tae-Yeon, Yuta Baba, Kevin Oris, Kim Hyung-Bum, etc.)

If Cha Bum-kun takes the charge of the KFA, we can expect great benefits out of his connections with international football celebs such as Franz Beckenbauer. 차범근 인맥 개쩜 ㅎㅎ His straightforward characteristics should enable him to deal with important plans and tasks without any disturbance. KFA can also remain or even increase a number of sponsorships by using his image.

LYP might be a turn off when he rattles off about god to the less religious players...

Have we ever got a word on why it took Kevin Oris about 8 matches into the season to see him play regularly?

I went to GWU for undergrad. I used to go to Fuji for sushi and beer. Is it still there? It was of course, Korean owned, lol.

2014 is only one year away, time to start making plans.

If we get enough people maybe we can plan a trip. Probably the last chance I get to do something like this before I'm too old.
