    - France subs in #2 Annaig Butel for #8 Audrey Fevrier.
    - France subs in #7 Marina Makanza for #11 Fanny Tenret.
    - France subs in #9 Pauline Crammer for #13 Alexandra Plantive.

    48' 1-2, 0-2 France play wide to #7 Marina Makanza, she spins past her defender at 20m wide right, and has space in the corner! Carries through 15m box right, cuts back, shoots left instep -- blocked flat to 11m center. #9 Pauline Crammer, with left foot on the penalty spot itself, corkscrews herself down to blast a volley to low slightly left, past #12 Desiree Schumann's dive.

    9+5 (9-4) Germany
    4+1 (4-3) France
    4=0 (4-4) Colombia
    0-6 (2-8) Costa Rica

    Now 3:1

    9+6 (10-4) Germany
    4=0 (4-4) France
    4=0 (4-4) Colombia
    0-6 (2-8) Costa Rica

    Drawing of lots would now decide the group runner-up, I think.

    60' 1-3, 0-2 #12 Desiree Schumann left goal kick, to just past midfield. Germany flick back-header into space up the left lane -- #11 Alexandra Popp jets past #3 Charlotte Bilbault at 35m, gets a step on her! Dribbles from 35m = 6 mowed stripes to 15m 6-left, shoots low to the right back corner, and #16 Laetitia Philippe just misses on the sprawl. Popp's hat trick,and 6th goal overall :eek:

    9+6 (10-4) Germany
    4=0 (4-4) France
    4=0 (4-4) Colombia
    0-6 (2-8) Costa Rica

    64' 1-3, 0-2 Germany subs in #7 Jessica Wich for #17 Turid Knaak.

    67' 1-3, 0-2 Germany left corner, curls in to 4m center. #9 Svenja Huth shoots point-blank (driven header?), #16 Laetitia Philippe blocks! Rebound to 6m center high, another German blasts low center, Philippe kick-saves it! France clears (their) wide right, concede another corner.

    73' 1-4, 0-2 Germany play from left back to center circle left. #9 Svenja Huth(?) back-heels inside-out into the stride of #19 Kim Kulig flying down the box left lane, and she breaks the trap at 40m! Dribbles down to 11m box left, crosses square. #10 Dzsenifer Marozsan creeps past the last defender, and drives it medium-hard low center, wrong-footing #16 Laetitia Philippe. It's like a bad day at the stock market for France ...

    9+7 (11-4) Germany
    4=0 (4-4) Colombia
    4-1 (4-5) France
    0-6 (2-8) Costa Rica

    76' 1-4, 0-2 Germany subs in #18 Anne Bartke for #9 Svenja Huth.

    80' 1-4, 0-2 #6 Lea Rubio lifts a high shot from 20m arc top -- it's a true Lampard off the upper left 90, down two diameters past the goal line, backspins out, and #12 Desiree Schumann catches it on the rebound, and swiftly punts it back into play. Everybody misses it!! Goal not given :eek:

    89' 1-4, 0-2 France have tried a series of long shots -- none as exciting as Rubio's phantom non-goal. Germany are still pressing forward, with a couple of deadly breaks into France's box, but they can't find the last touch.

    90+1 1-4, 0-2 #10 Dzsenifer Marozsan duels #3 Charlotte Bilbault down the right sideline to the endline. Bilbault slide-tackles it over. Germany right corner, curls to 6-top left post -- #2 Stefanie Mirlach snaps her open header down, just wide left.

    90+3 1-4, 0-3 Full time here. Colombia is fouled inside the box. #10 Yorely Rincon converts the PK, and full time there.

    9+7 (11-4) Germany
    4+1 (05-4) Colombia
    4-1 (4-5) France
    0-7 (2-9) Costa Rica

    Colombia got the flip-flop they needed.

    Sad to see Costa Rica as the whipping posts of Group A. Such a letdown after finally beating Canada for the 3rd spot in CONCACAF qualifying.

    Colombia's 3rd goal bails out the hapless France-Germany AR. Even if #6 Lea Rubio's non-goal was correctly given, Colombia still would advance on GD outright.

    [Korea DPR-Sweden][New Zealand-Brasil]
    01' 0-0, 0-0 Brasil need a flip-flop of +3 GD outright, or +2 and somehow catch up in goals scored.

    6+2 (3-1) Korea DPR
    4+1 (3-2) Sweden
    1-1 (1-2) Brasil
    0-2 (2-4) New Zealand

    08' 0-0 #16 Kristin Karlsson does a flip throw-in! Releases it way too early, launches it upward instead of forward.

    10' 0-0 DPRK cross from box top wide right, into traffic at 16m center. #14 Yun Hyon Hi pings it to 9m mid-right! She chases her own touch to 7m 6-right, lobs daintily waist-high over #12 Hilda Carlén off her line, dropping in on-frame -- and #9 Sofia Jakobsson calmly executes a over-the-shoulder punt clearance at 2m right post, facing her own goal, straight up.

    So, the NK-Sweden game will likely be fairly boring since both teams can go through w/ a tie? I think I'll watch NZ-Brazil, then.

    17' 0-0, 0-0 North Korea is dominating possession in Sweden's half. Sweden finally get a decent break, as a long ball through midfield circle left clangs fortuitously off a 1-v-1, right into #9 Sofia Jakobsson's stride. She presses forward to box top left as the 2-v-2 backpedals, cuts centerward, but pulls her shot too far, wide left low.

    23' 0-0, 0-0 Another long Swedish ball takes an odd bounce, and deflects into box top 6-left. #15 Antonia Göransson exuberantly challenges #5 Won Un Ha from behind, initiating much jostling. Won shields the ball from her to 6-top left, then whacks it into touch. Left throw-in means #16 Kristin Karlsson does another head flip -- flick header at 5m 6-left, but #1 Hong Myong Hui catches it.

    Ludmila for Brasil on 25 minutes. So half-way there.

    (The other half is up to Korea DPR, though)

    25' 0-0, 0-1 #20 Ludmila scores.

    26' 1-0, 0-1 Korea DPR in vast space at 40m (7+ stripes!) wide right. #2 Hyon Un Hui receives a strong backpass/clearance, tries a one-touch lob into the box, but gets under it, and it sails like a punt with hang-time, fully 20m up!! #12 Hilda Carlén backpedals to her line -- off the crossbar and bounces down hard to 2m left post!! #11 Kim Myong Gum pounces from 7m 6-left, steps centerward and volleys it in to 3/4 right 1/4 low.

    It was a lovely reverse pass that set up the goal for Brazil.

    ... and the Kiwi keeper almost dropped one into her own net a la Robert Green on 29'

    ... and then a long Kiwi free kick makes it all the way through tahe scrum without a touch and bounces just wide of the far post

    4=0 (3-3) Sweden -- (still advancing on goals scored)
    4=0 (2-2) Brasil
    0-3 (2-5) New Zealand

    On the brink. Further goals start them flip-flopping.

    33' 1-0, 0-1 North Korea right corner, played short. Cross to 7m slightly left -- #14 Yun Hyon Hi stoops and gets an unmarked header :eek: -- off the left post 1/2 high!! Bounces out through the box, and Sweden clears.

    So, as soon as I choose the NZ-Brazil game, NK scores? Nice.

    eta: Does Leah Fortune really need to do the flip throw every single time ?

    Glad you think so :p.

    It's almost as annoying as the vuvuzelas.
