I got great deal on FIFA 12 for us but I read you can't make any new players or team in the creation centre since 2013 is out. Is that true?

You just download an option file. And then there's no difference with leagues... It takes 5-10 minutes.

A couple of years ago I thought that PES was better, but now I enjoy playing FIFA much more. Here in Sweden is FIFA much more popular than PES (to be honest I don't know anyone who plays PES), how is it in the other countries? According to me is it very boring that the teams in PES doesn't have the right names or kits...

Yeah people always complaining bout the lack of correct kits and or names in PES, with a single download you fix that and much much more. Fifa has been better last 3-4 years, but now PES is back on top.

To answer the question of the swedish guy, here in Chile PES is much more popular, although FIFA has been gaining some popularity.

One thing I did not like about is PES was that I was not allowed to play online with Copa Libertadores teams. Have they resolved that issue?

Well, it looks like I can play with Brazilian teams online but still no Copa Libertadores teams.

    Bummer.

Why does the MLS transfer season in FIFA 13 only run in July? Why isn't there one in the preseason time before the March start? Stupid.

One of my fav thing is to strip a team and see what the AI buys as replacement players. Now the team has to crawl to the July transfer window.

That's how it worked in 12. This changed in 13. I think it was an oversight.

In 13, when you start the MLS preseason in your first season there is no transfer window. You have to wait until July to make any changes. 12 started before March MLS first kick with a month of transfers. Much cooler. It's not life ending. Once you are into 2nd season it balances out.

Is there a season/manager type mode where you can use the downloaded teams/leagues?

PES 2013 is a FAR better simulation of soccer action on the pitch. It's not even close. How anyone can stomach playing the arcade-y, simpler type of soccer in FIFA is beyond me.

I could NOT care less about licensed leagues - big deal. PES 2013 offers a super easy-to-use editor that allows you create whatever you want for the game. Claiming that the licensed leagues are more important than the actual gameplay is like buying a Yugo instead of a BMW because you like the letter "Y" better. It's just non-sensical.

Is there a version of career mode in PES?

I like both games a lot.
I gravitate more towards FIFA due to the licensed leagues and teams as you mention but also due to online play. I don't like the fact PES does not allow Copa Libertadores teams to play online. That is pretty stupid. I also am more used to the game play of FIFA so playing PES gets a little bit frustrating.

I shouldn't imply that FIFA can't be fun, that's not fair to say, but for me (at least) it's not what I'm wanting in a soccer game. :) PES delivers what I'm seeking!

Does it still have online? I know EA shuts down online after a certain amount of time.
