Since I badly wanna see a "Brasil vs Spain" game, I hope that the outsiders from South Africa will manage to make the same surprize like the brave US boys against Spain! ;)

Basically this. And it's selfish of me. I don't exactly hope Brasil lose, I just want to see the football kings play the euro champs.

I think I might get on to the People at Cambridge to put Anti-Football in the dictionary.

Anti Football - When a team employs tactics that don't let Spanish teams have their own way.

Dude, that's a bad omen for the WC (the Confed Cup winner has never won the WC a year later)! ;)

Congrats to Dunga & Jorginho (2 well-known BL players of the past) on making it to the final and kudos to the brave hosts from South Africa for this impressive performance (keeping a clean sheet until the 88th minute)! The game wasn't as spectacular as the Confed Cup semi-final "Brasil vs Germany" in 2005 (I attended that game live at the Nuremberg stadium), but it was very exciting until the last minute at least.

The only annoying thing was the noise caused by those horns. Don't the South Africans have any real fan culture (songs, chants etc.)?

The WC started 79 years ago, the CC started yesterday.

Too early to establish a 'curse' trend...

Brazilians might be superstitious but not stupid: Dah!...

They won't easily 'bite' into that :D ...
That's because you don't know yet who the Brzs are preparing to sing their National Anthem in 2010...

Football: every team tries to get the ball into the opponent's goal and when their rivals have the ball, they try to avoid them to score and they attempt on getting the ball back to them as soon as possible to start attacking again and score a goal in order to win the match.

Anti-Football: accomplishing only one out of the two missions mentioned above, that is to avoid the opponent team to score a goal.

And not even that the Anti-Football Athletic Club (AFAC[IMG]) has been able to do anymore!...

Let's change its name to N[IMG]FAC.

So how would that mean that the US are anti football, since they scored and defended well.

Great final, one of the best i've seen. all credit** to the USA for pushing Brazil all the way it's not** easy loosing but they can hold they're heads up** high. Brazil were magic in the second half lets hope** the world cup final next year will be good as this one!

The brave US boys were soooo close to another sensation and to their 1st title ... but well, it shouldn't be. Nevertheless, a big kudos for reaching the 2nd spot & giving the top favs such a tough fight!

Congrats to Brasil on winning the Cup for the 3rd time, unfortunately they won't get world champs next year (according to the stats). :))
