I too like playing with Lyon, although since the Feb update it seems that alot of the speed has been ticked down some. I also like playing Valencia and Villareal, but Villareal isn't as fun without Jozy. And I have gotten to the point where if the other person picks Man U, I will cancel the game without even choosing my team, which means every 4 out 5 quick game setups I back out of.

same here, ill play against iverpool arsenal... but not man utd. cuz now everyone who uses them puts ronaldo up top and he gets through balls like no other and sprints past the whole team. and the live season update doesnt help much. just makes him cheaper each week.

Same here. Ronaldo's speed is unbelievable. Especially when you play AC Milan vs Man Utd....there's no way you'll win with Milan's slow defense..it even makes Berbatov fast

Since I am very used to playing 5 star teams like Man U with a very average club Ajax I am very used to being the underdog. My advice is to master the art of defending. Know when to be aggressive and when to be conservative. Give the midfielders consistent pressure to reduce the effectiveness of through balls but don't mark the striker too tightly or he'll run right past you. Get very good at slide tackling but don't use it unless you can catch your opponent by surprise or if you have no other choice. Also be conservative about using the double team feature or skilled players will just one touch pass around you and exploit the out of position player with a through ball.

Being able to attack effectively is crucial, but you will never stand a chance if you can't defend.

Today's "I need to really injure this player or get a maniacal fan to kill him" moment is brought to you by:

    Tevez, of Manchester United
    Diouf, of Sunderland

If you could both die, or at least get injured by one of my newly red-carded players when I tackle you from behind, that'd be great, thanks.

So I managed to embarass ManU 4-0 recently.

Once I scored there was no stopping me. All in the second half. I was really glad about that...I only recently discovered "man marking" in my Team Management thing (nubbles).

    Napoli 90% of the time.
Aston Villa if they're playing a 5* cheapo team: MU, Inter mostly.
    USNT for international
Sometimes Italy, Argentina, France, Spain, depending on the opponent's pick of team.

I think Eto'o is the 2nd cheapest player in the game after Ronaldo.

I haven't really even noticed Kaka on the pitch when I play against AC Milan (and that is quite often). Messi is good, but not super cheap.

Ronaldo is obviously 10x harder than anybody else to stop with the ball.

Out of that list, I only struggle against Ronaldo but I manage to stuff him completely in some games. Depends on the game.

Messi is not a big deal at all to me. I shut him down quite easily.

Kaka is cheap because he scores almost from anywhere.

these players arent consistantly cheap. ronaldo messi and all hem can easily be shut down. but if you get a guy who knows how to use one of them, theyll give you problems.
kaka is fast and scores from all over. ronaldo, gets the ball gives it then a 1-2 thru ball and hes off. abonglawhore same thing hes just too fast.

Just played the #133 ranked guy. Lost 4-1, had one or two other scoring opportunities. Overall though fairly solid performance by me. He was nearly automatic on corner kicks which killed me. I get shut out by pitiful opponents sometimes... so its a start.

the other day i beat a guy ranked 135, he used 6 defenders, bayern and he was pretty gay.
i was arsenal, i was losing 1-0 and i just decided to take a chance, so i went a 3 2 5 formtion, tied it up and won in extra time.
the key to beating people is moving the ball. if you move the ball the correct way and no too fast or too slow, youll be fine. find the open man whenver possible and pick your attacks wisely.

corners are a killer, so try jostling your opponent out of the way and head it out with strong, big defenders.
