I found this interesting, for obvious reasons.

While I have problems with his worldview, I find it interesting that this Iranian hyper-nationalist holds a positive view of Israel, especially in light of the current tension.

Similar ideas were (re)gaining strength in Iran, but I am afraid that ever since US and Israeli threats and tensions, secular Iranian nationalism is gravitating towards an ideology that is not exactly friendly to Israel. Even if it remains equally unfriendly to the Arabs.

There are a lot of Iranians who like to promote "Greater Iran", not through invasion or subversion or force but through cultural and educational endeavors. Even among those in this regime, which increasingly emphasizes Iranian nationalism over Islamist ideology.

The idea of a "tolerant" and "plurastic Iran" is indeed more true to Iranian tradition than any exclusivist ideology. But if that idea itself is used against Iran, you will see the vacuum filed by other groups.

An alarming trend is the popularity of groups like sumka within Iran. I don't think that is the direction you would want to encourage either.
