I don't know why you would even imply this.

A few posts ago you basically said you would not mind playing the USA. Well Guatemala was able to tie the USA in Guatemala and was pretty competitive when they played here in the USA.

They also lost 2-1 to Mexico in the Copa oro so they can be a quite pesky bunch. Similar to Bolivia.

Crzd gives to much weight for who our rival be. We can beat Germany and then lost to Bolivia in the qualifiers or Lose to Guatemala and then win the Bolivians. The most important thing in these friendly is that the team once again meet together and improve the chemistry between the players, working on our weak points to improve etc. Guatemala or Mexico, really doesn't matter to me.

I am just tired of every friendly being in NYC or Florida against the same 4 teams. Fing Ecuador is playing Spain and we can't escape the concacaf. They had 4 months to find us a better team and they failed

To a certain degree I agree with Czd in his frustration. It sounds like this friendly is only happening because our federation was approached by a 3rd party organizer. So my question would be why hasn't/doesn't our federation organize better friendlies months in advance? Look at the US, Mexico and other federations that would be considered 2nd tier. They already have several booked dates well in advance. This has always been the case, not something new here but if we can't find better rivals and better terms while occupying a top 10 FIFA ranking than this is just the way it will always be.

Pardon my ignorance, but all I see in the news is that Colombia plays Guatemala on the 6th in Miami, but it doesn't say at which venue, or when tickets will be available. Does Miami automatically mean Sun Life Stadium? Thanks.

Not necessarily .. The baseball stadium where the Marlins play just hosted Venezuela vs Nigeria in October

if you put things in perspective - we actually get a fair number of solid friendlies. look who spain has had to play for their recent friendlies:

Panama, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, China, Korea, Serbia, Venezuela and Costa Rica

Portugal has had to face Poland, Macedonia, Turkey, Panama and Gabon for their recent friendlies

gotta put things in perspective sometimes.

    Indeed.

I would say the Marlins stadium down town would be better for atmosphere but Dolphins Stadium would have the better field conditions assuming it does not rain.

Lo mas seguro es que james no juegue este partido por su lesion......me parece interesante, ver como atacamos sin el...o que otro jugador puede reemplazarlo , si es que existe

Soto would make the most sense on the left attacking mid if James can't play. Or maybe even experimenting with Zuniga or Cuadrado.

only cuadrado i like as an option......

wee need a good right back to change zuñiga position....
soto, have been used as dmf or cmf in the nt.....not as left winger.....they are only similar that are left footed

ibarbo, pino, otalvaro and marrugo , natural options (injured)

Soto can be used as a left attack midfielder though. He is versatile.

I seem to remember him getting playing time at left attacking midfield for Bolillo. The friendly againts Mexico Sub 22 in Pereira and the Copa America come to mind.

he wasnt never starter in copa america....

and the result of taht mexico u-20 in offensive part was poor...... (and is more important to see how pekerman have used him and not bolillo)

i prefer a more offensive option....ibarbo, pino, otalvaro all three have more skills and speed to play in a wing...

what about JFQ on the left attacking side...
i think Ibarbo would be a good option now - he's grown a lot since his last few games on the NT and would do well given the chance...

how long is James out for?

    1) I never said he started in the Copa America.
    2) My point is he has played left attacking midfield. Whether or not you like that option is another story and your opinion.

I like Ibarbo too. Let's see if Pekerman will call him up.
