Congrats on the title. Until about a month ago, I thought Benfica had it in the bag; but I should have known better. Even though Porto had a disappointing European campagin, they did a better job in the liga in the second half of the season. Kudos to the team for never giving up.

P.S: I hope the JJ rumors to Porto turn out to be true. He can bring Emerson with him....LOL.

    Thanks dude. Much respect.

We won this year without a real coach but if we were to get JJ I don't think we can win next win. Prett confident it's a rumor or a big joke

I think the biggest problem will be replacing Hulk when he leaves. I'm very disappointed with the progression of Iturbe and James is also not ready yet to lead our frontline.

Yup, Hulk is our club. Not sure how to even replace him. Iturbe has been useless but let's hope for next season. I remember reports about him being the "next Messi" LOL. James is the real deal but just needs another year or so to reach potential.

Yeah, Lucho's arrival marked a big break in our season. I have to say I was skeptical but I'm glad to be proven wrong. Having a target man in Janko also made the team more comfortably tactically, as the way he played within the CBs meant Hulk could play the way he likes.

True, Porto doesn't usually by former recycled players :D Lucho has a lot of talent though, happy to have him.

    Until we meet again...

The word on the streets in Porto last night was that in 2012/2013 we'll go for the next level and try to win the Liga with a monkey as coach. :D

This League is tougher and tougher every year, with that being said the League is no longer Benfica, Sporting, and Porto. We have already seen what Braga can do in the past few years but watch out for us.

Guimaraes is building a very strong squad and you cant even get me started on Nacional and Maritimo those two team will be of another level next season and with Leiria gone (Who have always been a walkover) out of the Liga and with Estoril coming up oh man next season will be what i believe the most unprodictable liga season ever

I can pretty much assure you that either Porto or Benfica will top the league, with Braga and Sporting filling out top 4.

Great results this weekend, at least we got the league this year as it didn't look likely in January.

Now the question is, does VP stay? He looked so happy in that interview but it doesn't look likely that he will stay on. I'm not a fan of Jesus and his random tactics in big matches, VP out coached Jesus in our last match so only an idiot would fire VP for Jesus.. I pray to god those rumors aren't true. I wouldn't mind trying Domingos or AVB again. Hopefully we will know early this summer.

The fact that Vitor Pereira can win the Liga Sagres proves to me what a joke the Pimeira Liga has becom. Was a complete idiot in the Champions League honestly id take Jokanovic at Uniao Madeira before I took in Vitor Brincadeira Pereira in

Even without a real striker or coach we still manage to top the Lampioes. LOL. Unfortunately, VP may have guaranteed himself one more year, but it looks like Hulk won't be around to bail him out.

Hulk will be a huge blow but if we bring in a couple of decent strikers and another winger, we might just win the league again. VP is still learning but I fear that we will look like idiots in CL again.

We didn't look like idiots in the CL, we were close to passing the group. If it was the Porto of the second half of the season, I imagine we would have passed comfortably.

Unless much changes, simply passing the group is the main goal in the CL next year.

We came in 3rd in our group. We couldn't even beat Apoel at home. That is pretty bad.

But that was without Lucho and Janko. It was the same problem we had in the first half of the season, breaking down defensive teams.

Lucho was key in turning Port's year around not Hulk. I dont think Hulk will be missed as much as some think. Porto has been able to replace other stars in the past (ex Deco).

Lucho was key in replacing a hole in our team (Guarin/Belluschi poor performances) but Hulk creates or scores the majority of our goals and creates chances out of nothing, it will be hard to replace him. Don't know what to expect this summer besides Hulks departure.

Porto has the title again next season. Benfica will figure out some way to lose points and Sporting just isn't a contender yet. Braga seems to be missing the right ingredient to win the Liga. As for the other clubs, give me a break. Guimaraes win the Liga? Maybe on the playstation....and these clowns make fun of Benfica fans......really.....

Congrats on the title; once again Porto demonstrates that winning the league is a marathon and can't be done on the back of a few hot streaks. Another deserved championship. I hate you guys so much. :D

We should just go ahead and create FC Porto champions threads for the next 5 years and put in all these congrats in advance. We can delete the threads if somehow the blind squirrels find their nuts and someone else wins the league.

    I'm only partly joking :p.
