FC Hasental drew 2:2 with Bay Area Ambassadors in their home match, Saturday night. "Los Conejos" struck first when Alberto "Tito" Anguiano, played Johnny Gonzalez who easily finished into the empty net. The Ambassadors scored two unanswered goals on set pieces with FCH finding the equalizer off the foot of Omar De La Piedra. "We lost two points, rather then earning one," said FCH center back, Robert Pate. With next weekend off, and two home matches the weekend of 14 May, look for FCH to accrue some points in the NPSL Western conference. [ame="http://vimeo.com/23182792"]Match highlights[/ame]
Any FC Hasental fans here? I was thinking of going out to see some games this year (I hadn't heard of them last year) since they are the closest team to where I live, even though they're playing in Simi Valley this year).
bummer you didn't get to see them last season they had a good record and played well to back it up I saw them vs both Boca and Flash when they came down to SD you'll be lucky to find anyone on here who is a fan though we have a good group of NPSL folks who usually post something about the games hopefully you can do the same
Yeah, I wish I had heard of them last year too. Calabasas is much closer to me. I'll definately try to post something about the games I go to.
Went to the match tonight. It was a US Open Cup Qualifier against Fullerton Rangers. Unfortunately Hasental lost 2-1. Hasental scored first, early in the first half, and controlled possession for most of the rest of the half. But in the second half Rangers managed to gain more possession, which lead them to score, tying the game. After this Hasental looked shaken and they soon let in another goal from a great cross by a Rangers player. They regrouped after this and had a couple good shots on goal, but were unable to score. There was a controversial call right near the end of the game, where a Rangers player was sent off for a foul that appeared to be inside the box, but the ref ruled that it was outside and the Hasental player who took the free kick ended up kicking it into the wall.
aahh NPSL games, always dramatic near the end too bad about hasental though at least they didn't get a 5-0 whopping like fullerton did to clarita earlier, how was the crowd?
It was a small but enthusiastic crowd. Maybe around 50 people. I was surprised how many actually turned up with how late the notice was about the game (it was tweeted just yesterday). The biggest contingent was kids who play youth soccer.
yeah the early rounds don't draw up much crowds and get used to some games being rescheduled or having late notices especially this season with teams all over the western US, look forward to the 1st match day usually gets a good showing but maybe an even greater will show for that chivas usa game on the 29th
It's weird, there's nothing on the Chivas web site about that game. I'd expect more Chivas fans to show up than Hasental fans (if Chivas mentions it anywhere), since it's down in Carson.
Looks like the game against Chivas will be a closed door friendly. So I guess there won't be many fans at all.
FCH takes three points home from San Diego with their 2-1 victory over San Diego Boca. First half goals from Omar de La Piedra and Robert Pate were enough for the victory. Next match: Saturday, April 28 6PM...2012 NPSL home opener against a resurgent Santa Clarita Storm at Rolland Stadium, California Lutheran University (Thousand Oaks, CA).
Very exciting game last night for Hasental. Both teams had many chances, but the Storm took the lead in the first half. Hasental seemed a little off of their possession style of play. In the 2nd half, a Storm player got red carded, but Hasental still looked out of sorts and let in another goal. After the goal, they finally regrouped and put pressure on the Storm, drawing a penalty just outside the box which they converted for a goal. Still controlling the game, Hasental had many opportunities to score, and finally drove in a shot from distance to level the score. Final score 2-2.
Tough loss for FCH tonight, 1-0. Hasental had many chances to even it up in the 2nd half, but the San Jose goalkeeper made a number of great saves.
FC Hasental lost 1-3 tonight against Fullerton Rangers. FCH looked lost in the first half letting in two goals, but after conceding a 3rd goal in the 2nd half, they managed to rally together and get some quality shots on goal, eventually scoring on a set piece after a Ranger was red carded.
The 2013 NPSL season opener for Hasental started off with a bang. Las Vegas were only able to field 10 men due to paperwork issues and FCH took advantage to the tune of 12-0. The game was incredibly one-sided with almost all of the action in the Vegas end. Their keeper made quite a few nice saves, but it was impossible to contain the onslaught of Hasental players who never backed off.
Exciting game tonight. Top two West-Southern Division NPSL teams (You can read the preview here). No goals in the first half, but Pateadores scored first off a header in the 65th minute. Hasental scored 15 minutes later when a penalty kick was given for a handball in the penalty box. A Pateadores player was red carded a few minutes later, but the team still had good possession and managed to get a few runs behind the Hasental defense. Hasental eventually succumbed to a goal right at the end of regulation time. But due to injury time, Hasental was able to come back right at the end in the 95th minute, with a nice cross into the feet of a Ericson Penate who guided it in to the goal. Final score 2-2.
Tonight's FCH vs SD Flash match has been postponed due to the poor air from the Camarillo Springs fire.
