    Great article.

Eto'o has always been good at tracking back, and it's infectious.

And props need to be given to Yaya, who's been great at DM all year and in keeping the ball in the other half of the pitch.

I would be surprised if C. Ronaldo didn't win it. He already has the Ballon d'Or.

Ok, I was not sure what thread to post this in, so I will post it in here.

I have been reading your forums recently, and noticed that all of you feel Messi is the best in the world, by far.
I have a question for you guys, and this is a serious question, not one to start an argument, but why is Messi the best in the world, what are some of the things he does, that make them best above all others. Better than others like Ronaldo, Kaka, Ronaldinho, Torres, Gerrard, Xavi, Senna, just to name a few. This question is intended for informational reasons, no flaming or neg repping would be greatly appreciated.

His dribbling skills, mazy runs coupled with his vision makes him the most dangerous player on the planet. However I believe his main strength is his consistency, he rarley fails to deliever a performance.

My 2 cents are the following, the usox argument: If u take kaka out milan or C.ronaldo out of Man U they will still be alright, but barca w.o messi seems to sink, no big team depends soo much on one player.

He simply transforms the game in ways that no other player in the world (imo) does right now. It's hard to explain.

Messi uses the ball in the tightest spaces better than anyone on your list above. Leaves defenders for dead more frequently than anyone above. Distributes and finishes as well or better than anyone above. Has as much or more desire than anyone above.

He is a team player and he still shine as an individual team player..
    He is not selfish
    He is consistent
    He don't dive
The ball just glue to his feet even in his full speed
His dribbles is so awesome
He is definitely nightmare for any defender..

and everything else.. He is just so good..

And ask any manager, if they have to choose one player out of your list.. I'm sure they'll choose Messi even S.A.F (maybe he will not admit though :D)

comparing messi to anyone but Cronaldo right now is dumb. only Cronaldo's form last year can even hope to compare. but there is a major distinction between messi on the ground and cronaldo on the ground (i will give cronaldo the air battle). Cronaldo is flashy, Messi is brilliant. everytime messi touches the ball he is dangerous. thats why 15/20 first half fouls in el classico were against messi.

REally good, but i agree the league is not yet won, and madrid have an advantage that they wont be playing CDR. Now we are gonna need the full depth of the squad to go through january and february.
Great POV on that link regarding the villareal game, players might be just mentally drained out after that madrid game and we will need to be completely focused because playing at el madrigal doesnt come easy to us.
