Rob Friend has quickly worked his way onto my hated list. I've never seen a big man flop as much as... Kenny Cooper, but Friend is working on it.
Calm down - I am trying very hard to be more supportive of Sabo this year. He 's had three mediocre games to say the least but took the goal exceptionally well. He just needs the right partner or to work more for the wrong partner and less for himself. That's as far as I can go, sorry Biff
What type of commie infiltrator are you? Remember, anyone that wears a Galaxy uniform is capitalistic swine!
I do believe this is the first time I've ever heard someone called both a commie and a capitalist in the same insult. Amazing.
Favorites - Guillermo Barros Schelotto, Frankie Hejduk, Brian McBride, Nick Rimando I don't have a most hated but as much as I liked Dempsey when he was at Fulham and Tottenham, he can get on my nerves. Especially with how hard he fouls fellow national team players. We have a World Cup coming up and we need healthy bodies, Clint!
This. I don't see the concern from Clint when he fouls a fellow national team player. On TV, you could see Donovan was concerned after one of the tackles he went in on Beckerman. You also saw this in the Barca v Madrid game yesterday. Marcelo stopped the play in order to check on Neymar who was down. Marcelo knew there was more at stake than the La Liga title.
Someone should remind Wingert of the old mantra for defenders: When in doubt, boot it out. Yes, he didn't have any options, so either boot it upfield or out of bounds. Don't try and dribble around someone when you know Keane is waiting to poach.
Give credit where it is due - the LA player that stole timed his tackle perfectly and then fought through a very hard challenge from Wingert to get the ball up the field. The part that bugs me about this play was the way Schuler handled it. I'm not going to say it is his fault, but I don't feel like he did really anything to challenge Keane. At one point, right above the 18 preferably, you have to close the space and force Keane a direction. Instead, Schuler just shadowed all the way to his own pk mark and put Rimando in an awkward position.
Oh, I don't disagree with you there. I think the LA player did a good job closing down Wingert and stealing the ball. But Wingert didn't handle the situation at all. He didn't have an option, so he turned like he was going to play it back to Rimando. But he didn't turn well, took too much time, etc. The rest is history. I'm just saying he needed to make a decision faster. If he didn't have any options, clear the ball and let your team reset.
This is the problem with having a left back who doesn't have confidence in his left foot. If he did, Wingert could have just pushed past him down the left hand side or even played the backpass with his left foot.
