Again you seem to think the best dribbler is the fastest.

    Look at 5:28

The control may not be as good as Messi's but it's still good control and significantly faster.

Significantly faster than Messi, even in his Madrid days.

Thats not nearly as good control as Messi when he runs full speed with the ball lol, do you even watch him play bro?
The ball is like a string on his leg, he has perfect control and runs at full speed.
in the 1st vid Ronaldo is barely even running before he pushes the ball 10meters ahead, then he gains alot of speed.
The point here is, how fast can someone run while maintaining perfect close control of the ball, now obviously Ronaldo can run fast while pushing the ball 5 meters ahead of him, but how fast can he run while keeping close control of the ball very close to his feet? Faster than Messi? No.

I never said perfect control, I said very good control. He used good close control to elimate the first couple of defenders then kicked the ball away a bit then used close control to round the keeper.

It's nothing like a Walcott, Caniggia or Overmars run like you are implying.

    Ronaldo was nothing like this

Once again I'm not saying who has the best ball control. I'm talking about players who have good ball control whilst running at high speed.

But Ronaldo does not run at very high speed before he kicked the ball further.
Your thread title is deceaving, and you are using very weird standards to say who the fastest dribbler is.
Now either u mean who the fastest is while running with the ball ( doesnt mean if he kicks it very far away ), or you mean who the fastest is while maintaining great close control ( which Messi is the best at ). You can't just make ur own rules and say.. well nah... i mean who has decent enough control ( and then use ur own standards of what that decent control means, which in this case is just good enough control that Ronaldo is still faster than Messi with it ) and is fastest with it.

He kicks it far away and then quickly uses close control again, completely different to what Overmars would do.

Anyway even if we use your criteria this guy was faster whilst having full control of the ball like Messi.

Hes up there with Messi for sure, hard to say tho based on clips, and impossible to test in real life.

That was also your OWN RULE to claim Messi is the best, no?

Now look at close control during dribble, running ... Look at this, Ronaldo dancing between 4 players with a great control using right back heel during running, and scored with his left ... unstoppable ...

Messi could only dream to do this ... oh sorry unfair comparison as Messi is ONE FOOTER (of course he could not do exactly the same LOL)

How is that dribbling? That's just controlling a pass to your advantage. Like Messi does here in near full speed, which btw is even better

Back to true dribbling, look how fast he adjusts skips past people here, unstoppable

First look close to the clip, Ronaldo did a 1 n 2 with raul, still running, and used his back heel to flip the ball (passed from behind by Raul) over and half volley with his left foot. This is to against MrSoccer saying Messi had "better close control during dribble" than R9!!!!

Now thanks to this clip, as Mr Scocer , Mailman kept on singing the same song: R9 kicked the ball 5m a head while running, this clip showed Messi did the SAME .

Those who NEVER Played football do not understand this particular situation.
R9 and Messi could have passed 1 DF easily, but during the 1 on 1 with especially a good distance toward goal, why NOT kicking the ball and use their 'gifted' speed? Now at a close pace with 2,3 DF surrounded would be different case though

Lastly I never claimed R9 was the "fasted dribbler" nor said he was a betetr dribbler than Messi.
I just gave some example that there were some "very fast dribblers" and skillful as Messi - to oppose the QUICK CLAIM : Messi is the fastest dribbler!
He is certainly among the fastest ones, but NOT SURE he is the FASTEST

In here Messi goes past practically the whole team with two 12's and literally keeping the ball clued to his feet

    again in a different class.

When talked about raw speed Messi is no slouch either, still keeping the ball in close control

but in speed of control, change of direction, adjusting, nobody is in the same class.

also 4 times less control and 4 times the space between himself and the ball. is that dribbling?
again if usain bolt kicked the ball the length of the field and chased after it would that be considered fast dribbling?

    leadleader repped this.

only you see, the ball remains attached to the feet of Ronaldo. Messi is is not remotely fast as Ronaldo, Ronaldo had a better control, because the faster you go, more is difficult to control the ball.

Messi is capable to make a goal, in a land like this??
I saw him struggle with the rain.
here you can see if a player has a great ball control

Top speed of Walcott is 32,7 km/h
Ronaldo before injory had a maximum speed around 38 km/h

does not exist a player faster than Ronaldo in history of football

    Well

Walcott is faster than R9, but he has worse control.
R9 is faster than Messi, but he has worse control.

R9 should actually not be talked in this thread, he's in the middle of both arguments.

It's Walcott if OP means raw speed, Messi if OP mean speed of control, change of direction, adjustment.

it is your opinion and that is not exact

Ronaldo is most faster than both and have a better control because is 4 times faster than Messi, because the faster you go, more is difficult to control the ball. It 'a logical
