The reason I'm posting this in the Player sub-forum is because I want to get the views/experiences of mostly young, competetive footballers.

Firstly, what fo people wear in your city? Where I live in Australia, good fashion is above knee shorts, singlets, and side fringe hair (thats for boys, it's called a metro cut). In winter it's skinny jeans and cardigans. It's all very 'indie'. What's the style in your area?

My second query is on sports lifestyle clothing. I really want to have my own style, that expresses my, well, sports lifestyle. If you know of Bryan Massa (Facebook him) he wears what I'm thinking of - sports trackpants, sports jackets, sports everything. Any thoughts on this?

I just wear what I like. I'm not one to be led by a particular fashion. Just what I think suits me.

In England, the fashion at the moment is them bleedin naff Gilets.

This is a funny thead lol.

Casually I wear a lot of Nike stuff (I guess Bryan Massa) mostly because alot of times I get it for free and I'm usually coming from or going to training.

I really coudn't tell you what people wear for fashion in my region (Bay Area) it changes too much and mostly revolves around trends.

I wear what I like which admittedly is partially influenced by trends, fitted jeans, Polo Ralph Lauren, Nike, GAP, JCrew, Banna Republic, etc.

Not buying any of that shit if it's not on sale though lol.

Going to pick out my first real suit for a new job on Monday, believe me I'm more lost than you are.

I live in Australia as well, but since I live on the Northern Beaches, I have a whole heap of people wear just Bintang singlets, shorts, and thongs. I wear a lot of sports apparel, but my personal favourite combination is a sports shirt, denim shorts, and either thongs or sports shoes.

Before I start, I'm talking about teenagers and their clothing, not everyone!

I live in the United States about 10 hours South of the Great Lakes. (In Indiana, if you know quite a bit about the U.S.) Fashion depends a lot on generations. For example, an age below me, everyone wears that sports brand clothing like Nike, Adidas, Under Armour...

Popular Sports brands I see a lot are Nike, Under Armour, Adidas, North Face, Columbia, and Puma.

Popular casual brands I see a lot are Aeropostale (which I dislike), American Eagle, Hollister, Abercombie and Fitch, clothing from Pac Sun, and Polo Ralph Lauren.

    Common Summer Combos are:

    Guys:
-Cargo Shorts, T- Shirt, Black Socks, and usually Nike Shoes
-Basketball Shorts, Sports T- Shirt, Black Nike Basketball Socks, Running Shoes

    Girls:
-Short Shorts, Short sleeves (Tank Tops, all kinds of stuff), and either flip flops or Sperry's.

    Common Winter/Fall/Spring Combos:

    Guys:
    - Blue Jeans (of darker color), Shirts variating from tees, flannels, sweater, crew shirts, and polos, along with casual sneakers or running shoes.
-Track Pants, Sports tee shirt, and running shoes.

    Girls:
-Blue Jeans (slim fit), Columbia or North Face fleece jacket, any kind of shirt, and either Uggs, Toms, or Sperry's.

There's all kinds of varieties, but this is what I see A LOT. I got kind of carried away, but oh well!

Dude im from the Bay too!!!

but to respond to the general question, I seen both guys and gurls like to where the adidas Tiro pants. for everything, then they wear vans or like canvas flat sole shoes.

but in general it seems like its snap backs skiny jeans and canvas shoes, then like north faces, niner tops...its like real prettyboy street wear clothes.

Line ups and tapes, or faux hawk tapers seem to be prevelent too...

I'm in Indiana. This is the countryside, everyone wears overalls to tend their farm.

All jokes aside, Anticipate pretty much summed up all of American youth save for Cali. Even I get caught up in it, but I like Aeropostale.

I just stuck to the kinda mowhawk like neymars but not to extreme
and for clothing ive seen ankle frezzers as a fashion statement gahh it looks so bad.
i prefer clothes like g-star, tarocash, clothes from Yd Etc (im from european heritage, so that prob explains all aha)

in the south we dress for success.
for summer i wear pocket tees, polos, button downs, or a pfg, khaki or some other bright colored shorts, occasionally seersucker shorts, and sperry's or cole haan's (never wear socks ever).
winter is basically the same thing. If it's really cold I'll wear pants, again khaki or some other color (nantucket reds for example). For jackets and sweaters, I'll wear a mountain hardware, north face, or patagonia, or nice 1/4 zip sweater. If it's too cold for sperry's, I wear duck boots, with or without socks. Worst part about winter is that it's bad form to wear seersucker.
As far as particular brands...vineyard vines, southern tide, southern proper, columbia pfg, polo, tidal marsh, guy harvery, etc.
For workouts, I just wear some random gym shorts, a t-shirt (not one that I would wear casually, most of them are old or from some tournament, camp, team, etc.) or an athletic one (I'm particularly fond of Adidas Predator climacool shirts).

We have some nasty names for people who wear cargo shorts and graphic tees around here. I don't own nor have I ever owned a pair of cargo shorts or anything from american eagle, hollister, abercrombie and the like. Hell I don't even own a pair of jeans.

Living on the Northern Beaches here in Australia, the fashion around my area is somewhat similar to what Impossible6 said in his original post. In both summer and winter, everybody around my area wears indie, elegant, and sports clothing. I have my own style, which reflects on the three trends I just mentioned. For example, an ideal outfit for me in winter would be a Puma hoodie, Levi's jeans, and Rabens footwear. Just in case you were wondering, I don't have a metro cut. I have a crew cut.
