You won't start a fight with a TFC Jersey at least not in the general part of the stadium, doubtful in the beer garden but can't make a definitive statement as I don't sit there. As far as a drink before/after the game, there is the Londoner Pub that sits touching the parking lot (2 or 3 minute walk from the stadium). http://www.londonerfrisco.com/ It's not real cheap, but it's good. Some of the supporters groups I believe use it before/after the game as well.
Call the front office because I've heard that they won't let anyone wearing other teams jerseys in that section. I could easily be wrong on this but I did hear this somewhere.
You won't start a fight, but (and this is just a personal pet peeve) it is mildly retarded to go to a sporting event and wear a jersey for a team that isn't participating in said event. As previously noted, The Londoner is a good option for before or after.
Best FCD anthem/song imo. Do they play it anymore? They should. http://centraltrack.com/Music/3668/Songs-About-Dallas/Polyphonic-Sprees-HOOPS-Yes
hey guys, san jose fan in peace looking to enjoy an away game out there and i havent made my way to your place yet so im making it a thing, and with you guys first in the league im looking forward to it. You guys play nice with away fans that dont wear popsicle orange? Im not foolish to be anywhere near the supporters section but just in a general area is it good to go?
You're good to go anywhere really, I don't think security will let you into beer garden area (where the main supporters groups are) anyway, but from past experiences in Galaxy gear I haven't had any issues whatsoever. Just make sure you don't try and steal anyone's scarf or jump into any car windows.
As profiled said, you'll be fine except (maybe) for the Beer Garden and the other supporters' sections (easy to spot). Throughout most of the stadium there is still an unspoken vibe of "You own a soccer shirt? Cool."
I don't know how many times I have been to a Capitals game and seen other NHL jerseys then the team the Capitals are palying. So it is not that retarted.
okay, i got another one guys, how are you guys about wheelchair access?? where you think i would go for that? my brother just destroyed his ankle skateboarding today and hes gonna need some help , but he really wants to make it. Who you think i would contact for accomodating that?
Here's the front office contact details, not sure who would handle that exactly though. FC Dallas Stadium 9200 World Cup Way, Suite 202 Frisco, Texas 75034 Phone: (469)365-0000 Fax: (214)705-0099 Like most stadiums they have seats at the top of the sections. You'll be able to get into the stadium and onto the concourse without issues as it's all on the ground level, but no way to get down to any seats, so you'll have to use some at the top behind the normal sections.
They're still good seats. No upper deck or roof for us, so every seat has good good, unobstructed sightlines.
Didn't want to start a new thread just for this small things but I recently bought tix to 2 separate home games through Ticketmaster and on my credit card it shows up as TM *Dallas Burn I thought it was kind of cool. However, if I was a new fan and didn't know the history I probably would be pretty confused on what that charge was for.
Mods, Now that we're in MLS 3.0 or whatever, this thread also seems like it could be un-pinned. I'm willing to engage new people on FAQ-type questions in the regular threads, especially now that we're getting way fewer "Why is Frisco so far away?" and "FC Dallas attendance sucks" posts here and in the MLS General and/or News/Analysis forums. Mostly, I presume, since both of those issues are becoming less and less true. IMHO, un-pinning this thread would encourage more interaction from non-regulars. My $0.02.
Yeah, you're probably right. I've gone ahead and unpinned it. But if cowtown wants to re-pin it, he can. I'm not that attached to it either way.
BTW, Jefe there's a guy in Legion that has Jefe on his jersey. One of the horn players but doesn't know you. Kids nowadays.
