Even more good news - he's sitting up wearing a "Get Well Soon Spurs" T-shirt

Aha, that's where his 2 goals came from! And that quite unusual overwhelming performance by NYRB I watched last night...

    MUAMBA power!

He got out of hospital this week and here's Owen Coyle speculating on him maybe playing football again! :D

I didn't know he had a little son. Wow, this past month must've been so tough for all 3 of them. But all the more sweet that those various docs & paramedics never gave up on him!

out of curiousity has he undergone any treatment / surgery etc. to stop it happening again, or did he have no underlying problems, and it was just a 1 in a million chance that could happen to anyone?

That article (or perhaps another) speculated that it wouldn't be surprising if he'd had a defribrillator implanted, and some pros have played with that.

But I get the impression that they are super careful with releasing too many details in Muamba's case, respecting his (family's) privacy I guess.

Would it be crass of me to suggest he shouldn't try to play again?

Not crass, just without any data to support or contradict your suggestion. ;)
