    what an odd celebration.

I am going to be taking Osvaldo's machine-gun celebration into my indoor games from now on

Odd, but original. At least we have figured out it's a knife, otherwise one might think he was a rabid dog or something....

Aren't we co-owners? That means eventually one of us has to cough up.

There are a bunch of stories on ForzaRoma and Romagiallorossi today about Parma and their ransom for Borini.

Sabatini explained the other day that this strategy saved us a couple of dollars - I think he is 100% sure we are going to get him...maybe this co-ownership just lowered the agreed price...

A lot of people are blaming Sabatini for bad transfers but I think he has done really well.

Was Bojan his pick? I know Kjaer was, but I don't think Kjaer's mental lapses were his fault.

Lamela, Borini, Osvaldo, Stek.... I can't complain

Who is blaming him? He's a magician. Needs to work a bit on the defense, though. :D

someone on this forum was spot on predicting it though. look at palermo's defense last year. they had a good attack, just poor defense

Who was in charge of SD that brought in the likes of Cafu, Aldair and Samuel? Whoever it was they should be Sabatini`s defence scout :p

I heard a bit of bad energy concerning him, and Palermo's president stepped in saying that he has a job in Palermo any time he wants.

Kjaer was good from what I read for Palermo, and he was with Bovo next to him.

It's not like he didn't have high pressure in Palermo... Just for the record, Silvestre had a goal from a beautiful Miccoli ball this past weekend.

It's not true that he never found any good defenders. Kjaer was really good in Palermo(and I believe he still can be, but his confidence really took a beating in Germany), so was Bovo and now Munoz. Jose Angel, Bojan and Osvaldo are the players LE requested. Sabatini has brought Stek(perfect), Heinze(perfect), Pjanic(perfect), Borini(perfect), Gago(solid), Lamela(perfect) and Kjaer(abyssmal). We can all see that his only mistake was Kjaer, and that one was really understandable and won't actually cost the club that much, because it's a loan.

I'm very happy overall. Granted there's still some holes on our backline, but there's really only so much you can do over the course of one transfer period. Especially when you consider the delays in finalizing the change of ownership and releasing the funds that Sabbatini needed. I have no doubts that he'll onyl continue to build on this project this summer though. His focus will surely be on adding some quality defenders.
