Then I don't like the call against Oscar there. It's a 50/50 ball at best. I like the commentator with the studs up comment, which he quickly retracts on the replay. Luiz, with the touch of an elephant.
oh Lamps good build up, great cross from Ivan and Lamps hacks it wide saw it late but should have buried it
Lamps is having a larf out there today. He's had two chances that he'd normally put away. Just put that one wide there.
Brentford aren't out of this. As long as we keep playing at a pace they're used to, very fast, they'll be in the game.
Nil at HT. We've had loads of chances...so have they. Have to say that Ba hasn't been great, but his service has been putrid. We can play the ball out wide, but really nothing more.
Just so average. I think we'll win, but this isn't great. Additionally, the ITV commentators don't even know what time of day it is. Literally. One has talked about the game 'tonight', while the other said Brentford will be happy with their morning's work.
BTW this is ping pong football. Entertaining typical Prem game, back and forth, but no calmness. The play is so one-paced that players are getting set. Good thing is that they're creating chances, but Brentford have also gotten in dangerous positions.
Great cutbacks by Moses and Ivan. More crosses like that please. Anyone see how its long pass after long pass? Pressed, hit it forward and hope Ba gets on it. I'd dread to see how Drogs would have been flogged under Benitez. Ba may be build like Didier but his style is more akin to Anelka, passes along the ground from the attacking mids to match his runs are more useful. He is not exactly a back-to-goal striker.
It's our Torres play. Play it wide and hope for things to open up in the box. We've had chances, we just need to finish them. Additionally, if we can attack them from the top, straight on, they are very vulnerable, see Mata and Oscar.
Yep, head on through the center of midfield. They'll eat up crosses in the air as they've got some big lads. Plus, Ba is a big lad, so they'll damn near have to kill him to receive a caution.
Great to see an ex arsenal player and the ex manager of Brentford are being relied on for an unbiased opinion on ITV
The Madrid fan brought up a great point, why the feck isn't Mikel out there? Luiz, isn't, under any circumstances, a defensive midfielder. Mikel is, especially one who is familiar with how to track back and DEFEND. We need him to be out there desperately.
It seems to be the new fashion, defenders at the DM position Fergie and Mou did this with Jones and Pepe, I guess Rafa likes to copy their work, but eventually fails
Oye, look at me! Quoting myself. To add to the where is Mikel business. He is the only, repeat only, defensive mid on the roster, and we're playing with two in this formation. Yet, FSW, feels the need to keep him on the bench.
