Are we maintaining this thread for the new season? Would be nice to see squads like we did last summer etc.

I'm also rather ambitiously attempting to keep track of all U21 and U18 goalscorers this season, rather than play catch-up midway through. Only for PDL1 though, PDL2 would be more time-consuming.

Good question. Just start a new one ?

I will try to keep track of PDL2 for u18s (mainly) & u21s but only follow the North League along with Ipswich & Charlton in South League.

Should we share it one thread ?

46 teams in 1 and 2, 40 in the old academy setup, similar numbers so yeah, one thread for them combined I should think, even if the U21 competition doubles the number of matches we're talking about!

    ^^Spam, know?

Anyway, good start for our lot, winning 6-1 against City this morning at Cobham, 5 diff Eng scorers Mitchell, Houghton, RLC(best goal of the day), Colkett & Fanky Dabo . As per Juni, 15 out of 16 players involved are Eng eligible:cool:

Seems very impressive - what kind of goal was it for RL-C? He came on for the last 15 minutes of the u21 game last night against City - 0-0. Chelsea were very good, particularly in the first half - a very fast paced match - just didn't put one of the chances away.

    Going by Juni's tweet:
    Match report: http://thechels.net/2012/08/under-18s-chelsea-6-1-manchester-city/
Hunte had two assists & caused plenty of problems down the wing, I hope they see him only as attacking option now on, no more converted leftback(even though Kevin Wright had a torrid time in the first half against Pozo).

As discussed a while back, I wouldn't want them even thinking about puting him at left back for years yet. It's a last resort - but Cole won't last for ever.

Oh yeah. I'd already (now) seen the goal - and what a cracker it was. I've not heard yet how they (u18s) got on at the week end. I see West Ham u21s beat Everton 4-1 (I think it was)

I'm sure Juni or BlueRebelz can correct me but, I don't think we had any U18/U21 games this past weekend. Next up is the NextGen game on Tuesday.

Your lad Fanimo has been playing left-back interestingly.

Chambers, Fanimo, Moncur, Turgott & Hall in the team.

I suspect he'll be sorry he's been played on the wing the last couple of years rather than a more central position like when he was so outstanding for England u16s in the VS.

I notice he came on last night in the Capital One Cup.
