I cant tell if this is funny or sad but Freddy Adu being recruited by the Atl Silverbacks

 

Not quite as extreme on either end, but it kind of reminds me of when Beckham was offered a spot in Norway.

 

I think it could be as good as it gets for Freddy at this point. He's probably passed make or break for his career… Atlanta could be his last chance to turn it around, and I don't give him much likelihood of pulling it out.

Finals of Disney's tournament had Jonny Steele's RBNY vs.Yordany Alvarez's OCFC. Yordany ended up with an assist and of course a yellow, while Jonny had a goal and an assist.

 

Kries sure did have a great eye for talent!

Given that they have a CCL match tonight the chances of him making the 18 are actually pretty high.
Note to midfield - don't give him room to shoot.

 

From SJ, to us, back to SJ. Sounds like they should've just kept him instead of letting him go.

 

Clint Mathis, anyone? At least Khari looks the same as he did the first time he played for SJE. Mathis in his two RSL stints, though?

 

At least Mathis went to a few teams, and there was more than a year gap. I would've loved to have kept Mathis the whole time though.

 

I liked the outside threat that Khari brought to our team. I think he struggled with our style of play as it requires you to have a really good first touch and not much space. A guy who likes to shoot from distance probably wants a little space...

I think you have the wrong relative in mind here. Ben Spencer is not Vanney's nephew. Eriq Zavaleta is his nephew. Zavaleta played for Indiana and then went to the Seattle Sounders. He is currently on loan to Chivas USA for the 2014 season. Eriq is the son of Kristi - Greg Vanney's sister.

Looks similar to a goal he scored for us against Portland two years ago.

 

I watched Collen Warner pretty closely yesterday at the Philly-MTL game. He is a more steady pro know but not, I would guess, as good a distributor as he would have been had he stuck with us. Would still be a handy player to have, but such is life with an expansion draft.

 

OK, is it just me or did anyone see the image in this piece by MLS and the picture of Jason and think "Joseph Smith?"
