Pablo Campos and Blake Wagner both score as their San Antonio Scorpions (1st in NASL) destroy Carolina 8-0. Campos had 4 goals and is leading the NASL with 13 on the year. See highlights http://www.insidemnsoccer.com/2012/07/30/video-highlights-of-san-antonio-scorpions-8-0-blowout-over-carolina/
lol, call him up. anyone else remember this (starting at 3:05)?: pretty much the only thing i remember campos doing in an RSL uniform. sweet pass though and awesome header finish from sabo.
He also scored the goal in KC that gave us the extra point to get into MLS Cup '09. Without that win, we don't make it into the playoffs. That's the main contribution that I remember from Pablo. (Starting at 1:28)
Jamie Watson scores 2 for Orlando http://www.socceramerica.com/article/47609/usl-pro-this-weekend.html
Almost RSLer Andy Rose scores 1 & has 2 assists in Seattle's first round win CCL. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/ht...oncacafcaledoniasoundersfc2ndldwritethru.html
smh oh the life of a GM, loved one second, hated the next. no matter what garth does, there'll always be those that got away.
Jamie Watson with 3 goals in 2 games, gets the coveted PotW USL award. http://www.baynews9.com/content/new...icles/bhsn/2012/8/7/orlando_city_s_jamie.html
Yura with one more this weekend, he now has 4 goals in as many matches and is sitting on top of the Russian Premire League goal scorer race. How would our own team look with Yura still in our line-up?
Back to that DP conversation, if this team is broken up as many of us believe it will be after this season I hope we take a look at a couple up and coming Mexican, Central American or South American players that would play in the MLS as DP's. I am not talking about washed up European stars but rather some quality young players, remember the salary hit on a DP is only about $335,000.
I know the cap rules are different for younger DP's. I think it's a lower cap hit but I don't recall what it is or if MLS ever said what it was.
23 and younger for a lower hit is a plus, but seems a bit on the lower end. I was hoping for something like 25 and under.
I know Movsisyan is out of reach, but I've always said I'd like to see Findley back. Trade Paulo to Portland for the rights and make it happen
I always dug Mathis. Sure he wasn't what he once was when we had him both times, but the guy had a ton of heart and grit, something this team could surely use right now.
