I coach for a club that plays against USA in the UYSA leagues. I coached U8 last spring and may pick up an academy team again this year. though it would be fun to coach against him if he gets that involved.

Who's the dude in the black jersey? Is he a keeper or trainer? If he's a keeper, he's a little guy. Wasn't Warner around 5'10"?

Goff has a nice write-up about Robbie Russell in the Post (link is to the blog, which links to the full article). Once again, makes you admire the RSL team for doing right by the players.

this is sad, a 19 year girl fell from a ski lift this past weekend and died. apparently she had a "medical episode" which caused her to fall. here's the article in the trib:
    http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/news/53400564-78/woman-pastorino-fall-medical.html.csp

why did i bring this up in a former RSL thread? reading the article i learned that our very own former general manager, steve pastorino, is now the head of public relations and spokesman for the canyons ski resort. this forced me to do a little research on steve-o and i learned that he was the general manager for the US handball team before this. weird.

I heard he permanently traded away a ski lift for the rights to 90-year-old Stein Eriksen.

Even at 90, Stein's got a better chance at seeing the field than Adolpho Gregario ever did.

People on other forums are probably saying the same about our trialists who are rejects from their teams.

Possibly in same cases. I read that most Fire fans don't understand letting Banner go. Most DC fans seem to think de Luz had potential.

And let's face it, Revs sucked last year. They need gamechangers not 2006 RSL cast offs.

Yeah, I can see why you would at least try to see what you could get out of Wagner (hopefully you don't expect much).

    But Kreamalmeyer? what the hell?

First #RSL cuts of spring: Chris Agorsor, Donny Toia and @austindaluz. Big thx to Chris&Donny for your dedication to RSL over the last year.

    And there they go...

    woah
wasn't Toia our first HG signing?
And Agorsor was supposed to be the answer to speed up top, wasn't he (at least according to KIR and soapbox...)

Interesting that 2 guys that have been with the team are cut instead of the new faces.

That's what I was thinking too. That makes me excited for RSL's future, actually. That these new signings might end up panning out, and improving the team in the long run.

it could be interpreted that way.
however, it could equally (and in my opinion more likely) be interpreted that the new guys are similar to those that have been around. We know those guys aren't good enough to crack the XI or even 18, so dumping them makes more sense.

The worst that happens is these guys simply becoming training cones, just like the ones they replaced.

Agorsor would have likely been a contributor last season if he hadn't hurt his hand. Toia was likely destined to be a reserve player again this season.
