yeah that was sublime, I would love to see Napoli at least experiment with this formation in league play as well, 4 man backlines and all
still though Hamsik was unreal, Insigne was unreal, and Cavani was unreal, they seemed to play a 4-2-3-1 formation and were mega creative in midfield you see Mazzarri do panic tactics like that and just try to shove all of the attacking players onto the field into his formation and it wouldn't pay off like it did today when he switched formations
every time we've gone to a back for over the years through desperation we've created more attacks, thats because we have more players who can play instead of bulldoze opponents of the ball, he even played 4 at the back against samp in that game gianello tried to fix and we played good stuff, i just do not understand why mazzarri refuses to do something that is better for everyone and especially for those who pay to watch the game as a spectical, sadly he wont change still even after this, great set up from insigne, if he starts every game we will only see better and better stuff from him, but ideally we should have pandev, cavani and hamsik on too, when you have guys who can play football shit happens
like against catania, no clear idea of how he wanted to get back in the game, its totaly stupid to not take these games serious then bring on your strongest players when shit hits the fan
It was my first post on here to see the formation Mazzarri did today, and even Britos and Fernandez played exponentially better at center back with support from Mesto and Dossena on defense, and in a 4 man backline you can have left back and right back attack and not leave you completely exposed at the back. Usually Mazzarri's desperation tactics insist on just placing all of the attacking players on the pitch and hoping for something. But we actually played like the team I knew the players could when we did this. We looked scary ********in' good doing this, I just hope Mazzarri actually saw WHY we won today. Insigne and Hamsik were in their natural positions today and not placed into his extremely rigid 3-5-2 system.
we will only be left disappointed if we hope for change, if insigne doesnt start the next 4 games.....
