You guys have been solid in Europe right ? Its been in Portugal that you have been inconsistent. I still say you guys are going to the final. Especially with your keeper

I worry that the substitutions aren't being done well enough. It's something Sa Pinto needs to improve ,on the other hand, his starters have came through in the last two European games.

The Mullets will be tough to beat at home. But, I think if we can get one goal we will advance.

Taison and Marlos seem to be their main threats. Hopefully we can harness those two (I anticipate they will attempt to play both of them at home) and get 2 goals, as tough as that may be.

I have to admit, I'm disappointed about the potential Ath. Bilbao match-up in the semi's. I think it would be an outstanding final, but it would be disappointing to see what IMO the best match (of all the teams left) be the ones that decide who reaches the final.

I don't see Sporting doing well if they try to defend deep, you guys need to take the game to them and score. Sporting has been doing better when they go for it.

i agree. sporting needs to attack atack attack. izzy, capel, and matias need to play as long as possible.

these subsititutions at the 65th minute replacing capel and izzy with carrilo is causing problems.

I agree the subs haven't been perfect, but Izzy and Mati usually visibly exhausted by the second half. Can't really blame Sa Pinto. I wish Pereirinha wasn't injured because he makes a perfect sub - doesn't take risks, plays safe and doesn't make any mistakes.

Agreed, Capel, Izzy, Carrillo, Jeffren and J.P. are too quick for many players. Personally I can't wait until Carrillo matures and we have Labyad on the flanks too. Finally players with pace AND can handle the ball *cough* Yannick *cough*.

^ let's see how that midfield holds up, not a lot of physicality or defensive ability there. Looks like we are going for the away goal right away.

It's pretty clear that Andre Santos is not in the teams plans anymore. Carrico, Neto, Martins all ahead of him in the pecking order. I guess he's finished.

Let's get the away goal and get Neto on.

Damn I still wish we had Fito...he'd mess these Ukrainians up old school.

Seems like a mistake to eliminate such a young, talented player almost completely from the squad. I still don't get it....at all. Neto is one for the future, as is Martins but Santos can contribute now.

I don't get it either. All I can say is that I hope we loan him out and not sell him at the end of the year, cause I think he can still be a useful player.

I'm baffled as to how Santos fell so far so quick. It started with Domingos but carried on through Sa Pinto...there must be something we don't know, be it quality of training or just inability to follow instructions.
