Oh revenge is so sweet and it wouldn't have come in a better time!!! Germany vs Italy in another epic semi final!! Looking at Italy game today and seeing the stats, its obvious that they cant convert chances which will work for us in this game...

Germany will probably be missing piggy due to injury (not confirmed) and Italy will miss Christian Maggio due to suspension (2 yellows, one today the other against spain)

I say it will be a close game, prediction 2-0 ... germany scoring in ET both goals :)

Italy did not look good enough to put fear in Germany, 3-1. Another late game defensive ********-up will give Italy a goal.

Anyone have a bad feeling about this????

History is not with us at all.. We have lost every single knockout game against Italy.

I hope the football gods give us a break for once and let us have something with such talent we have...

We really deserve to get something this time.

Good luck to you guys, if there's any time you can get your revenge, now is it considering you're obviously the superior team and favorites to win it, afterall most history records are broken at certain point.

Hoping for a good match as Italy vs Germany pretty much always gives us some great football to watch.

Only way I can see us winning this match is if we were able to hold you from scoring during the first half, England's defense was way too packed for our rather poor finishers to get the job done, I expect us to have more opportunities vs your defense. Some flashes of brilliance from Pirlo and Buffon will surely help us out A LOT.

I would have Hated losing to the English, but if there's any team I wouldn't feel any shame losing to it would be you guys, you've been incredible in this tournament.

    May the better team wins.

i wont say i will be happy if we get eliminated, but i wouldnt feel too bad if you guys win it all..

I was torn on who to support for like 0.00001 secs because of our history vs Italy and knowing what it might mean.

But then I realize that I'll take my chances with history as long as these English Creampies get sent home. So on behalf on all good loving footballing fans,Thank you.

Good luck on qualifying for the WC2014 :D

Well one of the first games I watched as a German supporter was the heartbreaking loss to italy in 2006. I really thought we were going to win that match only to have it stolen from us

This time I have a special feeling and I really do. My mom passed away Saturday morning (she is American but has Slovenia, Irish, and GERMAN roots, part of the reason I support our team). I'm sure she will be over there watching over our Mannschaft and she knows how much this match means to me. italy is my least favorite teams (behind spain) due to the 2006 loss and their defensive style. I used to refer to them as $h-italy. But I stopped doing so because its disrespectful. While I hate the NT of italy, I have respect for the people there and my friends who are Italian-Americans. They truly are some great people who probably don't care about this match but would root for Germany just because I'm a huge fan.

Wonder how we'll perform without Bastian. I expect some drama in this one. 2-1 with a late goal from us. Similar to the 2008 Semi-final against Turkey

EDIT- Sorry didn't mean to get too deep there but many of my friends who have helped support me during this rough time are Italian-American amd are caring/loving people. Derogatory remarks toward their culture is false and wrong

It will not be so close, Germany is in near top form, Italy is not. We will prevail by minimum 2 goals.

That was my attempt at being politically correct. Really I could care less about the best team winning and all the niceties.

Sick and tired of second place and all the other disappointments.

    Its been too damn long.

Kroos is Schweinsateiger version .5. He's similar to him going forward but defensively he does not even compare. I think Joachim should opt for Bender instead as that lineup would have Khedira hauling Toni's ass througout the entire match leaving him unable to attack.

Hang in there Kevin, I know whats its like to lose a family member or someone close.

Only time can take away what you feel right now, and even then it still hurts.

So one day at a time bro.

    match could go either way,
the fact that germany has looked the better team will mean nothing come kick-off time.
for once (unlike 70,82,06) we go into a knockout game against italy relatively fresh while this time italy had to go through extra time & penalties.
if we do manage to lose this there's no excuses they well and truly have our number.

We have to be like Spain and create history, my friend. Or else we just don't deserve it.

I don't think we need much offensively from Khedira, for me his main task in this match should be keeping tabs or Pirlo (Kill Pirlo you kill Italy). If he can beast and play box to box then thats all good and well, but we need to keep Pirlo quiet for 90 mins (there's no f ucking extra time in this game.)

We have enough fire power upfront and will need someone with Kroos' ball handling and retention skills to control the tempo.

I am 100% certain Podolski will start, because of his experience. Hopefully, I am wrong however. Reus is a defo.
