I'm not positive but I'm sure I saw a portuguese fan celebrate with italians when Balo scored inside the stadium. Maybe someone can find it and photograph it!?

I don't believe the rivalry is as bad in Europe, or not even much at all. I visited Portugal too and they seemed like very generous people and had nothing against Italians, at least from my perspective.

 

I think you have to be 30+ years old to appreciate that one. His reference is to DeGrassi junior high, the show, and I'm sure he's referring to ridiculous high school drama.

Here in Montreal there's no real issues between the Portuguese and Italian football fans or other, though it's difficult for them to converse about football among themselves without arguments irrupting over a difference in opinion. It's amusing actually. Nevertheless Italy has 4 cups.
