They have spent the last 4 years learning how to play against Barca...

But if you look at their record against top teams in Europe, they seem lost in midfield..

If you look at the Bayern vs Madrid series from last year or the mancity vs Madrid game or the Dortmund vs Madrid...there is one single pattern... They are always outgunned in midfield by 2nd half..

They have some of the laziest front 4 in the game.

No one really tracks back for them, so they are always 3/4 vs 2. Time and time again.

For some reason I see that happening again and some top team will knock them out 1/4 or semis again..

PS: the calmate Ronaldo celebrations are the douchebagiest moves I have ever seen and I am glad it backfired..

The entire Dortmund team should have mimicked it after their second goal.

Wow, what a finish in Sweden!
Hannover led 1-0 when Helsingborg equalized about 90 seconds into injury time. Hannover promptly came back and hit the winner in the third minute of injury time. Last kick of the match.

That OG is how Lazio got a draw.

Bilbao tied it up with Lyon only to give up the game on a goal in the 86'.

Bilbao - how last year's squad has collapsed (last in their group and 2 points above relegation in La Liga). Levante looking good to advance. A.Madrid too. All in all a great year so far for Liga coeffecient, Bundesliga's too so far.

Pool vs. Anzhi looks like a great game to watch in 5 minutes as that looks like the group of death (Udinese the other team you'd expect to see advance along with those 2 but only 2 can move on).

Hard to believe Twente are leading the Dutch league the way they got stomped by Levante.

Great midweek for the Bundesliga's coefficient. Seven clubs competing in Europe and only Stuttgart failed to register a win (0-0 home against Kopenhagen).

Actually, Mourinho has won in Germany. Quite a significant win it was, too. It just wasn't against a German club.

Do I receive a rep, Umar?

Chicharito scores after coming back from an offside position. The refs are doing everything they can to give this game to Man Utd. They're doing well.

    .Azulgrana. Red Card

    Aug 2, 2012
Jese is a disgrace. That really should result in a 5-game ban at minimum, that was totally uncalled for and unnecessary, especially so early on in the game.

As for that United game, that was a terrible way to kill the match from the referee. The red cards were very harsh and the winner was clearly offside, amazing how that ended up. Does make the Premiership really tight now though. Chelsea/United/City/Spurs fighting at the top while Everton/Arsenal/Liverpool fight for CL football.

And the Merseyside derby today had plenty of controversial calls as well, the Suarez goal in the 93rd minute was disallowed for absolutely nothing.

Athletic down 2-0 at home to Getafe now, looking like they'll stay just point clear of relegation and their EL campaign may be all but over. Tough times at San Mames...
