today there are two baldies on the pitch so not that easy knowing what team is ulsan. but it seems like they play in blue. no carmelo on the pitch as usual. I hope he'll learn by estiven the art of adapting.
lol did you watch the game? Ulsan were in white. My supporting team Suwon was in blue. Estiven played full time, contributing to Ulsan's 2-0 victory against Suwon. As for Carmelo, he wasn't even in the sub.
It's pretty hard to imagine today that Carmelo was playing in the sele in the qualifiers. There must be at least 15-20 better colombian strikers today. Now he's not even a sub in the K-league...
estiven de regreso en medellin y negociando con el verdeee su incorporacion. reporte de cortesia del subforo de at.nal
solo fueron vacaciones en medallo? no se volvio a mencionar el nombre del experieira....para nada de naaa
I guess it is time to revive this thread from the dead. Juan Estiven Velez. (에스디벤) He plays for Ulsan Hyundai FC. Ulsan is traditional one of the powerhouses in the K-League. Estiven is probably one of the best DM to play in the K-League also one of the most under rated player in the K-League right now. His defensive presence has helped Ulsan numerous times over the past few years. He has appeared 25 times this year. 6 times he was subbed in. Yesterday, he has helped his team win 1-0 against Al-Hilal in the first leg of the AFC Champions League quarter final. Video: His team won against Wilmar Jordan Gil's team, Gyeongnam FC 2-1 five days ago: His team won against Al-Hilal 1-0 yesterday. (AFC Champions League 1st leg of the quarter finals): Misc:
I liked this player when he played for us. Good n' strong LB, way better then Farid Diaz that we have now. If I'm not mistake, in Nacional he also had few times that he played as a DM but 90% of the times he was a LB.
Estiven played a full 90 minutes in 4-0 win over Al-Hilal in the second leg of the AFC Champions League. His team won the aggregate 5-0 and will face the Uzbekistan club team Bunyodkor. Highlight: Pics:
Estiven started and played a full 90 minutes against the Uzbek club Bunyodkor in a 3-1 win in the AFC Champions League semi-finals 1st leg. A great defensive game by him. Highlight: Pics:
Estiven started and played a full 90 minutes against the Uzbek club Bunyodkor in a 2-0 win in the AFC Champions League semi-finals 2nd leg. Another great game by Estiven. Ulsan advances to the final! "Estiven has been monumental in the midfield." - Dez Corkhill (Stars Sport commentator) Highlight: Pics:
[ACL Final] Ulsan vs Al Ittihad/ Al Alhi @ Ulsan Munsu Football Stadium 10 November Saturday 7:30 PM Korean Standard Time Estiven will be playing against Jairo Palomino's Al-Ahli in the final.
Yup, Ulsan has won the 2012 AFC Champions League. Estiven started and played another 90 minutes. Estiven has been crucial to Ulsan during their Champions League campaign playing every single minute. (11 games played, 9 wins, 2 ties, 0 losses). He has also scored a goal against Brisbane Roars. He will be the second Colombian to win the AFC Champions League title (behind Mao Molina) and to play in the final. (Al Ahli's Jairo Palomino would be the 3rd Colombian.) Thank you Coreanboy. Great to see two Nacional ex's like Velez and Palomino doing great abroad (how was Jairo by the way?). Did any of you remember the times when Velez played as the LB of the NT??
No prob. Jairo played a very sub par game. He had a shot on goal, but that was about it. The defense including him had a lot of troubles after they gave up the first goal.
