ESPN FC TV Schedule - ESPN2/ESPN News - Monday, January 27 - Saturday, Feburary 1. Monday, January 27 - 12:00 am ET-1:00 am ET - ESPN2. (Replay - January 27 - 8:00 am ET-9:00 am ET - ESPN News.) Monday, January 27 - Thursday, January 30 - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - ESPN2. (Replay - Tuesday, January 28 - Friday, January 31 - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET - ESPN News.) Friday, January 31 - 5:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - ESPN2. (Replay - Saturday, Feburary 1 - 7:00 am ET-7:30 am ET? - ESPN News.) Well we are back to our normal schedule with the only change being that Fridays show starts 30 mins early - 5:00 pm ET - and lasts for 60 mins - 5:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET. Fridays replay on Saturday morning is only scheduled for 30 mins so either we are getting (1) an edited show (2) a new 30 min show (3) ESPN messed up and the replay is supposed be 60 mins - 7:00 am ET-8:00 am ET. My guess its (3) but wouldn't be surprise if its (1)

Friday, February 7 - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - ESPN2. Replay - Saturday, February 8 - 7:00 am ET-7:30 am ET - ESPN News. Reason for Tuesdays/Thursdays shows not being on ESPN2 - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - theres one hour editions of College Football LIVE being shown - 5:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET. Of course ESPN FC can't be on ESPN News - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - because ESPN News has to show SportsCenter - 5:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET. So Tuesdays show is bumped to ESPN News - 6:00 pm ET-6:30 pm ET. Thursdays show could be shown - 6:00 pm ET-6:30 pm ET on ESPN News but instead they are showing a repeat of Thursdays Sports Nation - 6:00 pm ET-7:00 pm ET. So we must wait until 11:00 pm ET to see it. Boo!
Not a good day for ESPN FC. It wasn't on at the usual 5:30pm-ish slot so I decided to stay up and watch it at 11pm. It started late b/c SC ran over, then I got to see a total of 9mins of ESPN FC before it was unceremoniously chopped for college hoops at 11:15pm. Ah, soccer on multi-sport channels, it's just so much better that way.

what are the chances we won't see the beginning of the US/Mex friendly match on espn? they have a 3 hour block for an AL baseball game on espn2, putative 15mins. pregame on espn2 and on espn at 10:15CST the start of the game. They have 2 live sporting events on espn before,. the last being a High School Basketball all star game that they've allotted, I believe, 1 hour 45mins. to. they could preempt SC on espn2 at 10:15 if the basketball runs over. Wondering if we'll see the beginning?
I dunno but it should be telling... As to where USA soccer ranks for them, within the context of other sports. Yes it's a friendly but as friendlies go this one has a pretty damn big profile.
They'll probably start it on ESPNnews if necessary. MLB games seem to be extra long so far this season with all this video review stuff they're doing
this is what they did the last time now that I think of it, trouble for me is I don't have espnnews so I'm SOL. they should really preempt SC on espn2 if it occurs IMO. That'd be the fair thing as anybody who has espn should have espn2. I'm a glass half empty type so I'm already seeing the negatives. I don't know about HS Basketball all star games if they tend to run over but if they're like WNBA games....
This is just so damn DVR-unfriendly. I've had similar problems with ESPN in the past. This time I'll try to babysit it and catch it wherever they may move it to.
Yeah that was screwy. I was watching on ESPNnews when Darke made some really subtle comment like "to you folks watching on other channels your regular programming will begin now" then 2 seconds later there was Keith Olbermann! I recall previous, similarly funky, last-minute channel changes & jumps by ESPN for USMNT match(es). I guess that's what you get for trying to schedule too many live games that bump into each other. And with sports like basketball which are notoriously difficult to predict the end-times of. That's one really TV-friendly thing about soccer. 98% of the time the networks can allot 2hrs to a match and it fits in fine. The 2% being matches that are eligible for Extra Time or those with rare delays due to weather or transit.
glad they did the sensible thing and broadcasted the opening few mins. on espn2 instead of just moving into SC, knowing full well some would miss the start. in the past they haven't done this, so good on ESPN.
