Okay its not a direct simulcast of ESPN2 (US) at the start of the ESPNFC special Dan Thomas said welcome to viewers in Australia, New Zealand and the Caribbean and those watching around the world on the internet. I am guessing there is a feed available of this on ESPN3.com. I would expect ESPN2 (US) coverage will join ESPNFC Special at the conclusion of the draw

    ESPN FC Schedule - ESPN2/ESPN News - Monday, December 23 - Saturday, December 28.

    Monday, December 23 - 12:00 am ET-1:00 am ET - ESPN2.
    (Replay - Monday, December 23 - 8:00 am ET-9:00 am ET - ESPN News.)

    Monday, December 23-Friday, December 27 - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - ESPN2.
    (Replays - Tuesday, December 24- 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET, Thursday, December 26 - 8:30 am ET-9:00 am ET, Friday, December 27 - 2:00 am ET- 2:30 am ET and Saturday, December 28 - 7:00 am ET-7:30 am ET - ESPN News. )

No replay on Wednesday, December 25 - a replay of ESPNs SportsCenter Top 50 Plays Of The Year is on ESPN News - 8:00 am ET-9:00 am ET. For some reason the Thursday, December 26 replay airs on a half-hour delay. NBA Tonight is on ESPN News - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET. Usually a replay of that program airs - 8:30 am ET-9:00 am ET. The reason Fridays replay airs - 2:00 am ET-2:30 am ET - ESPN News is airing First Take - Year In Review - 8:00 am ET-10:00 am ET.

    Canada - Monday, December 23 - 6:00 pm ET-6:30 pm ET - Tuesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 26 - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - TSN2.

Around The Horn is on TSN2 on Monday, December 23 - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET. (At least they are airing it via half-hour delay, they could have decided to not air it at all.) No show on Wednesday, December 26 - TSN2 is airing a replay of this years Grey Cup - Hamilton vs Saskatchewan - 5:00 pm ET-8:00 pm ET. (Too bad they couldn't start the replay an hour later so ESPN FC could be on - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET.) No show on Friday, December 27, TSN2 is airing the Military Bowl - Marshall vs. Maryland - 2:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET. (Too bad they couldn't air ESPN FC via a half-hour delay - 6:00 pm ET-6:30 pm ET instead of NFL Films Presents.)

This weeks "Bad Guy" for the one hour Monday morning show - a replay of a pre-World Juniors Tourney hockey game that took place this morning - United States vs Finland - is on TSN2 - Monday, December 23 - 12:00 am ET-2:30 am ET.

If you recording got messed up due to the BREAKING NEWS of Tony Romo "season ending" injury - Mondays ESPN FC will be repeated on Tuesday, December 24 - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET - ESPNNews. (ESPN FC didn't start till 5:48 pm ET. We did get the whole 30 minute show - ended at 6:18 pm ET.)

Luckily, I was able to set my DVR for about 30 minutes longer and got it.

At least they replay the shows. :)

What they could do (I'm sure the technology exists) is to have the "real feed" online alongside the "actual feed" of whatever channel. Obviously, today, there was breaking news which messed up a lot of stuff. Whatever ESPN was supposed to show got bumped to ESPN2. ESPN2's stuff got bumped to News...or something like that. It was a huge cluster. Using this tech, whatever ESPN really was scheduled to show could have been on an alternate feed of ESPN, available online. Likewise, whatever ESPN2 really was scheduled to show could have been on this hypothetical "ESPN2 online feed."

I say this because on SiriusXM, they'll interrupt some of the music channels for temporary (seasonal) channels of holiday music or limited-run programming by various bands or musical artists. The online feed of that channel will continue to be whatever it normally is. -- Since this tech exists, you'd think ESPN could adopt it.

Alternatively, just put these shows on ESPN3, but I have a feeling they're trying to push ESPN3 by the wayside. The last time I checked, it was live events only and they had to be done by 6 PM local time during the week or noon on weekends.

    ESPN FC Schedule - ESPN2/ESPN News - Monday, December 30 - Saturday, January 4.

    Monday, December 30 - 12:00 am ET-1:00 am ET - ESPN2.
    Replay - Monday, December 30 - 8:00 am ET-9:00 am ET - ESPN News.
    Monday, December 30 - 11:00 pm ET-11:30 am ET - ESPN News.
    Replay - Tuesday, December 31 - 1:30 am ET-2:00 am ET - ESPN News.
    Wednesday, January 1 - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - ESPN2.
    Thursday, January 2 - 11:00 pm ET-11:30 pm ET - ESPN News.
    Friday, January 3 - 11:30 pm ET-12:00 am ET - ESPN News.
    Replay - Saturday, January 4 - 7:00 am ET-7:30 am ET - ESPN News.

Only the one hour show gets its usual time/channel for both the orginial viewing and the replay. The only time the half-hour show gets to be on at its usual time/channel is Wednesday, January 1 and it doesn't even get a replay! Finally, the Saturday morning replay of Fridays show, gets to be shown at its usual time/channel.

The reason for the messed up schedule this week is due to college football bowl games (Monday and Tuesday) or a high-school football all-star game (Thursday) being shown on ESPN in the afternoon. Thus programs that are on ESPN orginially are being moved to ESPN2 and those programs are either bumped to ESPN News and being shown at different times or they are taking that day or the whole week off.

Fridays show is not on because theres a special one hour edition of College Football LIVE being shown on ESPN2 - 5:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - previewing that nights Orange Bowl game - Clemson-Ohio State.

Why not show ESPN FC on ESPN News - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET? - can't do because ESPN likes to show an hour long edition of SportsCenter - 5:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - then.

Lucky for us fans of ESPN FC - things get back to normal next week with only a couple of changes next Monday. I'll talk more about that when I post next weeks schedule a week from now.

Correction: The reason for no ESPN FC on Tuesday, December 31 is because ESPN2 is showing a college basketball game - Louisville at Central Florida - during the 5:00 pm ET-7:00 pm ET time slot.

The Louisville-South Florida game is the third game of what is a marathon of five games on ESPN2. The other games are - 1:00 pm ET - Duke at Elon - 3:00 pm ET - Indiana at Illinois - 7:00 pm ET - Memphis at South Florida - 9:00 pm ET - Connecticut at Houston.

    ESPN FC Schedule - ESPN2/ESPN News - Monday, January 6 - Saturday, January 11.

    Monday, January 6 - 12:30 am ET-1:30 am ET - ESPN2.
    Replay - Monday, January 6 - 8:00 am ET-9:00 am ET - ESPNNews.

    Monday, January 6 - 6:00 pm ET-6:30 pm ET - ESPN News.
    Replay - Tuesday, January 7 - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET - ESPN News.

    Tuesday, January 7-Friday, January 10 - 5:30 pm ET-6:00 pm ET - ESPN2.
    Replays - Wednesday, January 8-Friday, January 10 - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET
and Saturday, January 11 - 7:00 am ET-7:30 am ET - ESPN News.

LB: The reason for the half-hour delay on the one hour show is because the Sunday night edition of SportsCenter (11:00 pm ET-12:30 am ET) is on ESPN2 due to a college football bowl game being on ESPN.

The reason ESPN FC is on ESPN News on Monday is because ESPN2 is showing a repeat of "Numbers Don't Lie" - 5:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET and the reason ESPN FC is on - 6:00 pm ET-6:30 pm ET - is because ESPN News always shows SportsCenter - 5:00 pm ET-6:00 pm ET.

I understand ESPN FC getting bump from ESPN2 and our regular time for a special BCS Championship Game Edition of "College Football LIVE" as thats our tag partner and Monday is a huge day for College Football. But for a repeat of edition of "Numbers Don't Lie" - that show stinks! I'm surprise thats even still on - sigh! Well at least ESPN FC is on at a decent time - 6:00 pm ET-6:30 pm ET. It could be worse - ESPN FC could be on at 2:00 am ET Tuesday morning! or not on at all!

ESPN FC Schedule - ESPN News - Sunday, January 12 - Saturday, January 18.

    Replay - Monday, January 13 - 8:00 am ET-9:00 am ET - ESPN News.

    Replay - Wednesday, January 15 - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET - ESPN News.

    Thursday, January 16 - 2:30 am ET-3:00 am ET - ESPN News.
    Replay - Thursday, January 16 - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET - ESPN News.

    Thursday, January 16 - 11:30 pm ET-12:00 am ET - ESPN News.
    Replay - Friday, January 17 - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET - ESPN News.

    Saturday, January 18 - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET - ESPN News.

LB: Yes, we are moving from ESPN2 to ESPN News this week (and next week as well) due to ESPN2 coverage of the Australian Open Tennis Tournament which starts this evening. ESPN2 will be showing tennis from 3:00 pm ET to 6:00 pm ET every weekday through Friday, January 24 except for next Monday, January 20 when tennis isn't on and Thursday, January 23 when tennis coverage begins at 2:00 pm ET.

I thought maybe ESPN FC would be moved the half-hour show to 6:00 pm ET but instead Keith Olbermans show will be on every day up until Wednesday, January 22. (His show also had to be moved because of tennis coverage.) Thing is, Olbermans show is only on for a half-hour (its usually a hour) - 6:00 pm ET-6:30 pm ET - so why not show ESPN FC - 6:30 pm ET-7:00 pm ET? Nope, we must repeat "Pardon The Interruption" then. (Except on Thursday, January 23 and Friday, January 24 - "SportsNation" is being shown - 6:00 pm ET-7:00 pm ET.)

Since the tennis coverage starts tonight, that means the one hour show will be on ESPN News and it even moves up an hour - 11:00 pm ET-12:00 am ET. Did ESPN FC even mention the channel and time change on last Fridays show? All I remember is Dan Thomas mentioning we will see you Sunday. The reason its on then is ESPN News repeats ESPNs Sunday 90 minute SportsCenter - 12:30 am ET-2:00 am ET - right after it is shown on ESPN - 11:00 pm ET-12:30 am ET.

Wow just heard about this thread, from you guessed it Lax Bandit. Lax you have to be the person most intimately familiar with ESPNFC's peripatetic schedule, outside of Bristol CT.

Thanks for your efforts. If it turns out that my Tivo guide is indeed wrong about the next two weeks of airings, then I'll definitely be keeping tabs on this thread more.

p.s. I agree about Steve Nicol... he's the weak link. Hard to imagine he was a revered coach in MLS for so long. Kind of a BS'er. But at least he's better than Tommy Smythe who they've brought out of mothballs lately for some inanity. Funny to see them together though, when they do the hokey predictions board.

Ok it's 11:40pm and it gets more confusing...

My TiVo DVR guide says it should be Pardon the Interruption
On TiVo.com listings it says it should be ESPNFC
On Espn.com listing it says it should be ESPNFC
My Cablevision guide says it should be ESPNFC
My TV is actually showing Olberman

    Oy!

EDIT: ESPNFC started at 11:59pm. Hmmm.

Figures, right when I praise that ESPN FC has been basically airing as schedule since the start of the show, two times the show didn't start on time this week. Tuesdays show started 30 mins late - 12:00 am ET instead of 11:30 pm ET and Thursdays show started 17 mins late - 11:47 pm ET - instead of 11:30 pm ET.

On Tuesday, they decided to give Olberman his usual 60 mins which is why ESPN FC didn't start until 12:00 am ET. (I'm not a watcher of the Olberman show but I wounded up flipping on ESPN News around 11:20 pm ET and saw that Olberman was on so once ESPN FC didn't start at 11:30 pm ET, I figured ESPN gave him his usual 60 mins.) On Thursday, I'm not sure if Olberman was on for just 30 mins (which means his show for some reason started at 11:17 pm ET) or 60 mins (which means his show for some reason started at 10:47 pm ET) or was on for the weird time of 47 mins (which means it started at the scheduled time of 11:00 pm ET.) I turned on ESPN News at 11:27 pm ET so I'm not sure when exactly the Thursday night replay of Olbermans show started.

We also had Wednesdays replay - Thursday morning - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET - ESPN News - not even air as scheduled. Due to coverage of the Australian Open running over, the Mike and Mike show which is on ESPN2 this week/next week - 7:00 am ET-10:00 am ET - was switched to ESPN News. I'm not sure if ESPN FC eventually aired or not since I had to leave for work at 8:45 am ET and didn't bother to record ESPN News for a few hours to see if it came on. (Probably not, the tennis was probably still going once 10:00 am ET and ESPN News then decided to start showing ESPN2's First Take and once the tennis coverage ended, First Take went back to ESPN2 and ESPN News started showing SportsCenter or whatever program they were scheduled to show at that time.)

Well lucky for me, I didn't miss any of the shows - for Tuesdays show and Thursdays show, I was up so I caught the delayed starts and for Wednesdays show, I recorded the orginial showing - 2:30 am ET-3:00 am ET on Thursday morning.

Update: According to my on-screen TV Guide, listings at TVGuide.com and the listings at ESPN Mediazone.com. Fridays show will be on twice on Saturday morning on ESPN News - 2:30 am ET-3:00 am ET and 7:00 am ET-7:30 am ET. Orginially the Friday ESPN FC show was only going to be on once - 8:00 am ET-8:30 am ET. So not only do we get two showings but the replay is on at its usual Saturday morning time slot.

Note: A bunch of half-hour replays of Olbermans Fridays show is scheduled to be shown before it so if they decide to give Olberman an hour for Fridays show, that may delay the 2:30 am ET-3:00 am ET showing of ESPN FC especially if they decide to start one of the replays at 2:00 am ET. If you plan on recording either showing, set it for 2 hours (say 2:00 am ET-4:00 am ET/7:00 am ET-9:00 am ET) just in case ESPN FC isn't on at the scheduled times. We shouldn't have to worry about the Australian Open as the programs listed for ESPN2 after tennis coverage is supposed to end at 7:00 am ET are ones that can be shown at another time. So if tennis goes past 7:00 am ET - we won't see them being moved to ESPN News and thus bumping or delaying the replay of ESPN FC.

Well add the replay of Thursdays ESPN FC show to list of shows that didn't start on time this week. Unfortunately we also got the show ending at the bottom of the hour - this making it an edited show.

Coverage of the Australian Open for at least the second day in a row went over so the Mike and Mike show had to start on ESPN News at 7:00 am ET. The tennis coverage didn't end until 8:12 am ET so Mike and Mike didn't switch over to ESPN2/ESPN FC didn't start on ESPN News until then. Then probably so they could get back on schedule (with programs starting/ending at the top/bottom of the hour) they decided to edit out 10 mins of ESPN FC - I think they edited out a segment with Alexi Lalas - with the show ending at 8:32 am ET. (Around The Horn was on after ESPN FC and they had a couple of mins of commercials edited out so the program will end at 9:00 am ET) So if you missed last nights orginial showing completely and decided to record/tape this mornings replay - you wounded up missing 10 mins of the show. :sigh:

I would wish for things to be alot better next week and have all the orginial showings and the replay showings both starting and ending at the times they are scheduled. But I know that won't happen - heck it probably will be even worse next week especially when it comes to the morning replay of ESPN FC as fourth round matches, quarterfinal matches and semifinal matches tend to last longer than usual. Oh well, only one more week of suffering as we get back to the normal schedule the week of Monday, January 26-Saturday, Feburary 1.

Lax, do you ever get the feeling this is your own private thread and you're talking to yourself? ;)

p.s. This week was very poor in terms of reliably being able to see ESPNFC. Once I solve my DVR guide problem, it seems that ESPN didn't really do what they said they were going to. I missed portions of several shows because of delays. I wonder when they'll go back to their previously pretty reliable afternoon/early-evening time slot?

Theres a chance that the morning Australian Open Tennis coverage on ESPN2 this week will ran past its scheduled end time thus forcing "The Mike and Mike show" from ESPN2 to ESPN News and either delaying or canceling programs on ESPN News. The morning replays of ESPN FC could be affected. This happened twice last week - ESPN FC was delayed and edited on Friday and not shown at all on Thursday. So make sure you are either up to watch or record the orginial showing if you really want to watch one of the weekday ESPN FC shows.
