Ale Moreno is actually really good. If anyone should be cut outta that equation, it should be Twellman.
That's because Moreno isn't a homer, like Lalas or Twellman. Frankly, I like the "spanglish" coverage of the Mexican national team on ESPNews. Better than MunDos ...
Because, racist, Moreno is the usual commentator for ESPN's English language coverage of the Mexican national team.
It's just so pointless to have a third commentator who played for neither country in the booth regardless of how good he is. BBC is not gonna bring in a third commentator, a Frenchman who played in the Premier League, to call an international match between England and Germany because he happens to be an expert of the German game. That would be just bizarre.
Who cares where he is from? Besides racists. He's their usual commentator for Mexico games. If you think three in a booth is one too many, fine, but the racial background of that third person is irrelevant.
alright, enough of the r-word and the personal attacks. Keep it up and there'll be warnings handed out.
Start live coverage of an international US game 6 minutes in after the US has already scored a goal? Thank you ESPN! Also thanks for telling everyone to go to ESPN3 and then not having the game listed on the website.
ESPN has a well established policy of not leaving events in progress. They're not going to leave a live ACC game for a B-friendly against South Korea.
Does anybody know why ESPN3 was showing 2 different Ajax games today? One against Zwolle and one against Groningen? I think the Groningen one was the live one for today but I am just curious that if that is indeed the case, where/when did the other game come from?
The Groningen match was a midweek matchup (Thursday) that they showed on espn3 exclusively. The Zwolle match was live.... SA www.soccertvblog.com
