Apparently there is some WC refs meeting this weekend, hence Webb and Clatts' noticable absences.

Mr. Dean with four first half UB - Tactical cautions. All four 100% correct too. Love when refs punish for tactical fouls. Its probably my biggest pet peeve at the pro level.

Ya, wasn't able to catch the game live but watching the replay I felt he did a reasonable job. Noone else in the media seems to think so. Milner was an idiot as well. Clear-cut DOGSO. City's defense is pitiful.

Especially since you'd be in charge on Man City this weekend!

Just watched Probert give a SFP red in the Fulham/Sunderland match. Will try to find highlights, but while noone left in a stretcher the Fulham player came in with both feet, studs up.

Wow, the first 20 minutes of the second half of Fulham/Sunderland is a helluva game. Probert has his hands full, both teams running like their skin is on fire. WOW! Fantastic goal by Sessegnon as I'm typing! Amazing!

Tricky decision. Having seen replays a few times, that challenge is a yellow card for me. Yes the player leaves the ground and yes he goes in 2-footed and yes the studs were up, but by the time the players come together he is back on the ground, takes a huge chunk of the ball, both feet are down low, and the 2nd leg isn't really in danger of contacting the opponent.

It was a very strong challenge and although it had a lot of warning signs for serious foul play, I don't think it really turned out that way.

The announcers completely missed that the referee received information on the headset immediately. Ref was not in a very good position -- almost straight-lined, it seemed. As he walked up to the spot of the foul, he was saying 'red, red' in what clearly was a repeat of the information he was getting from someone else in the crew via the headset. I don't think the ref was really sure based on the body language and timing of the whistle and the receipt of information from the crew.

Second big game for Foy this year. Second time he sees Chelsea and second time he sees City. Could the game possibly end up 2-2 as well?

Was it just me, or did the ARs in the Arsenal-Villa game have two different colored flags?

English thing. There's a solid and a checkered one, with the flag denoting who is the sr. official. I noticed Webb's crew were using these in WC2010 for the first game, and from then on used matching flags.

Ya, I did a double take when I first saw it. It just looks weird to me... crazy English with their different color flags.
