CCTV 5 shows EPL, I'm not sure if they still show Serie A.. Depending on where you live you might be able to watch soccer on other channels. Here in Nanjing we have Jiangsu Sports which shows a few matches.

That's my blog and I think the information is all still true, the creditors of WinTV weren't even willing to talk to CCTV5 about buying the EPL rights, instead they were in negotiations with the local sports channels, negotiations that still haven't reached a conclusion yet. Spanish and German games can be found on CCTV5, though for the next few weeks it will be a lot harder as they'll mostly be playing the Basketball World Championships. Kind of sad that Serie A was demanding so much money and it ended a 20 year partnership, though at this point all I care about is the EPL rights package going to someone who can actually televise matches.

Therefore, after 20 years, there will not be Serie A games on chinese TV, just now that in Italy there will be 1 game every Sunday at 12.30 PM ( 8.30 PM in China ) ?

Also last year's Supercoppa in Beijing. Hardcore fans will watch via the inconsistent internet streams.

So no more Serie A in China?? Well, at least we won't have to hear lame excuses about the new noon game...great job by the new Lega Serie A...what a bunch of pathetic clowns.

I mentioned it in another thread but failed to mention it here, at least in Beijing, the EPL is on tv again as of 2 weeks ago, with a Saturday AND Sunday match. Serie A is still not on tv...

I feel like a fool considering what I posted 12 hours ago, but tonight I was flipping through the channels and what did I find, CCTV was televizing the Roma-Lazio derby...Perhaps a deal was worked out...

I can't speak for all of China, its definitely on Beijing's sports channel and I believe it is true of Shanghai and Guangzhou as well, but not sure about any other local sports channels...

EPL and La Liga can be watched on Guangdong Sports Channel if you're located in Guangdong.

EPL typically has a Saturday and Sunday night game on tv (sometimes two Saturday night games) on Beijing's local sports station. I'm sure the matches are also carried by most big city/province sports stations.

I believe CCTV carries both the German and Italian leagues, but I've yet to pay close attention to know.

Yes CCTV 5 broadcasts Serie A, Bundesliga and Liga every weekend. For example, last weekend CCTV 5 had:

    Saturday
    Dortmund vs Leverkusen
    Udinese vs Milan
    Osasuna vs Barcelona

    Sunday
    Inter Milan vs Novara
    Cologne vs Hamburg
    Valencia vs Gijon
