Don't blame any gringos. The guys from the FMF named the league.

    Also ordinaryorange, great posts.

If you're interested in listening into a podcast talking about the Apertura contenders, opening weekend recaps, and more, tune in here.

    http://www.olearyspodcast.com/2012/07/episode-56-liga-mx-week-1.html

This will be an ongoing weekly podcast I'll contribute on to increase English coverage of Liga MX.

If you think of any ideas for Liga MX coverage on podcast, shoot them my way. The coverage will grow!

I doubt you do. Quick: Why are the America-Blue games called the "Young Classic"?

How many years has Sanchez GK'd in Torreon? How many career goals did Cuauh have? Which GK did he pretend to take a piss on?

When did Atlante move to Cancun? Who originated "Goya Goya!"? Who's the current longest tenured coach and owner?

There'll be harder questions to come :sneaky: Keep up the good work on the blog, though, and make the Mickeymousers read it. They're following the wrong league.

Don't forget to add posts that show just how much we dominate the Concachampions. Total rapeage every year...

Why are you guys being assholes? It's a good thing that foreigners are interested in our league...a very good thing.

John Jagou is the best blogger covering Mexican futbol in english... la Liga Mx is in good hands with him

now, I think if the OP wanted to improve his blog, he should ask john jagou how its done and actually write informative blogs. He can start by becoming his assistant or secretary... I am sure he will pick up the tools needed to write a good Mexican blog.

What john jagou delivers that the OP doesnt is context. The OP just doesn't know enough history of Mexican futbol to be able to actually tell a great story in his blog like john jagou.

but luckily that can be fixed

well everyone here knows that you need to stfu and let orange do his own liga mx coverage. If you dont have anything good to say in this thread, then dont post shit to shit up the thread.

whatever gets liga mx more publicity, the better.

meh, u can try to take this to a personal level, but the facts speak for themselves.

I am not trying to bring the OP down or anything, I want him to succeed. but he must become a Mexico fan and la liga MX fan too for him to be succeed... so far I see none of that....

you gotta be excited for the product you are trying to sell

To the OP, do your best to ignore perndog and itscalledfootball. They are the two biggest idiots on this board.

Mods, you need to step it up when it comes to these two morons.

Sorry guys, been a little bit since I've been around on the forums.

Thanks for all the positive support! Also thanks for the negative, I take everything I read into account and care for all opinions. As more content is requesting, the coverage will only grow.

As for now, couple things going on...

I've updated Week 7 recap and have all the previous posts/recaps in order.

In addition, I know I mentioned before, but weekly I do a quick recap on a podcast - Oleary's Podcast.

Here are both links for your convenience.

is there any way you can provide a transcript of the podcasts?

sometimes audio is not an option and could miss out on particular audiences.

yea, horrible at it too, you can't translate everything. it is better for gringos to learn spanish. some things are meant to be untranslated. La Liga Mx is one of them.
