    Good cross by Downing! Sturridge fluffs his shot! Good chance that!

    showing some inexperience in central defence on both goals imo

    Sturridge has to bury that- it may have given us a lifeline back into the game

    besides giving a few youngsters a run out I see little evidence for Pearce to continue based on this

    Can anyone think of the last time England started with such an average footballer as captain? Mark Wright? Although he was very good at 1990.

    We've had some decent chances..Unfair to be down 2- nil.. Hope Smalling's injury is minor

    Probably Martin Keown against Finland in 2000 under Howard Wilkinson.

    Is there any reson why we have a right back playing centre back and a centre back playing right back?

    Welbeck off. Still no goals. Why bring on Campbell instead of keeping Welbeck on? Welbeck needs these minutes to show whether he can be a goal threat at International Level.

    the supply to Welbeck hasn't been stellar.. I reckon Rooney will help that in the future.

    He played nearly 80 mins working his socks off, and didn't get a chance to waste. Why not bring on fresh legs?

    Cahill scores????:confused::confused:

    Not a terrible performance. Definitely like the look of the team that started the game, add Wilsere and Rooney to that and it will be much better.

    good goal from Cahill as I say that! was just about to say 2-0 is a bit unfair.. I think we have been slightly better overall than Holland

    They're both interchangable.. I bet Pearce prefers Micah at cb over Jones..Only explaination I can come up with.

    Not hard to tell that they have been holding out to see how Pearce does in these games. They havent even spoken to anyone yet and the tournament is close! If they still give him the job its proof they never intended to do anything other than give it to Pearce .Cheap and does what he is told .

    Gary Cahill shows the forwards how to score! His second England goal. Maybe offside.

    France claim a 2-0 win in Germany. They will be much tougher than the shambles that played in the last world cup.

    Sturridge is hurt! Bad luck for him. I thought he has looked one of the best players today, apart from that missed sitter.

    Kuyt with a hard shot forces Hart to save.
