Afobe isnt one of our "top 3 prospects". Wilshere, chamberlain, wellington, miyaichi, campbell, yennaris, even jebb and maybe akpom are better prospects. Afobe has a lot going for him as a footballer but he doesnt have the technique to really be a top player imo, hes very athletic and decent in front of goal which should be enough to get him a place in a premier league team when hes older but probably not arsenal
Crazy situation in one of the other qualifying groups. Hungary topped the group but Belgium successfully appealed one of their results because Russia fielded a suspended player in the game. Meaning their 1-0 win was converted into a 3-0 win and they go through on goal difference. Every group is now decided but ours. Here are the teams at the finals - Slovenia (Hosts), France, Poland, Germany, Holland, Iceland and Belgium.
Haha, talk about one-in-a-million chances of that happening. Turning around being knocked out by 1 goal and now knocking the other team out by 1 goal. Cruel that for Hungary.
Sorry. This is the last post I make off topic For me, he is top 3. Wilshere and Chamberlain have already made it in the first team. It is pretty obvious. I am talking about players who will make it at Arsenal. Jack and Ox are not prospects any more. Miyaichi is obviously one of the top 3 surely. Yennaris if he makes it at Arsenal will be a good squad player. I would not put him as a top 3 but he should be very high on the list. Jebb and Akpom are too young. Afobe is 19 and very close to the first team while Jebb and Akpom have 2-3 more years to go so Afobe is ahead of them because he's done well on loan and at reserve level and in England u19s(and the other levels before that). Wellington is maybe a top 3 prospect. He has unbelievable talent so I really hope he makes it but we have so many wingers that the odds are against him. Campbell looks good too. He's disappeared now in the last 1-2 months. I dont know what to make of him to be honest.Afobe is a year younger. I think I would put Afobe ahead of him. It's just my feeling. I could be wrong.
Good to know. I will be watching that for sure. In youth tournaments, Barcelona tend to play players who are like 2 years younger. So I doubt they will put Dongou,Grimaldo and Sergi Samper. They will play with 14/15 year olds instead of 16/17 year olds. That's just my guess.
Innis is replaced by Chambers for the Spain game tomorrow. Will hopefully help our build up play from the back.
That might mean Jebb on the bench then. Team - ......................Willis Gordon.......Hayden....Chambers....Shaw ..............Woodland.....Swift ........................Hughes ?????..................Akpom...........Robinson
Calum Chambers is on the right. Just got that confirmed. Only players not to confirm they are starting then are Willis and Hayden (who isn't on twitter).
That could still go either way though? i saw on twitter he seems to support ireland and england, and refers to england as "us"
