I've just checked and found this actually. 6.09 If two or more teams are equal on points on completion of the group matches, the following criteria are applied to determine the rankings: a) Higher number of points obtained in the group matches played among the teams in question. b) Superior goal difference resulting from the group matches played among the teams in question. c) Higher number of goals scored in the group matches played among the teams in question. d) If, after having applied criteria a) to c), two teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a) to c) are reapplied to determine the final ranking of the two teams. If this procedure does not lead to a decision, criteria e) and f) apply. e) Results of all group matches: 1. Superior goal difference. 2. Higher number of goals scored. f) Drawing of lots.
System failure partly but Georgia worked very hard pressing the ball. Midfield ended up too deep for too long to help create things further forward too. I still can't believe why we were putting the ball wide so much and so quickly. We were doing this in other games before Chambers was even called up so it's not as if we can entirely blame it on the situation today.
Finishes 2-2 Georgia 4 England 3 Spain 2 Ukraine 1 Same requirements as posted on the last page then.
That might be a problem then. I guess Ukraine needing a win against Georgia would be a problem too though because Georgia do alot of sitting deep and countering.
Ukraine NOT out actually. If they beat Georgia and England draw with Spain we're left with Georgia, England and Ukraine all on 4 points. GD will be 0 for England, no better than 0 for Georgia and no worse than 0 for Ukraine. Assuming it's 1-0 Ukraine then it's down to Goals For but only involving the teams in question, so exclude Spain, and it's here I get lost without writing it all down
If that game is a draw (quite likely I'd have thought) and we beat Spain (a possibility it would seem) we are through aren't we?
The following all assumes England/Spain draw and Ukraine beat Georgia. All of the criteria used to separate teams only take into account results against eachother, so you exclude what happens against Spain. In the event three teams end up on 4 points it'll mean everyone has drawn against Spain, and once you remove goal difference from all of that, it means England are potentially screwed. If Ukraine beat Georgia 1-0 I can't see any scenario that doesn't require drawing lots. If Ukraine beat Georgia by any other scoreline they qualify. This is obviously at the most complicated end of things
Afobe is 19. I said you wrote him off at 16/17. So 19 minus 16/17 is 2-3 years ago so yes what I said is more than one year. I guess you did not write him off immediately when you saw him at 15. So maybe at 16. Anyway, after all these nonsense responses you still did not answer my question - how could you give up on him at such a young age when he was scoring so many goals at all levels ? You see Olivier Giroud for example is making it big now at 24/25. Drogba was a late bloomer. He made it at 23/24. There is a long long way to go. Very few make it big at 17/18/19 like Wilshere,Chamberlain,Fabregas,Messi, etc.
It's called making a ********ing judgement call!!! But yes do stop the nonsense replies. There's a good little fella.
Well, your judgement is not good at all in this case. You will see it in the next few years. If you are really an Arsenal fan, you should only get excited because he is one of our top 3 prospects. You have to support him. Dont be so negative.
