I'm not entirely sure but Gribbin might even be 2 age groups behind the 16s. He's a 99 but I believe he could be a late 99.
Makes sense, thanks anyway. Getting back onto topic, the only united a player I think who should be a shoe in is Williams, other than that I aint got a scooby.
Believe Everton have 3 players in the camp too, Nathan Holland (forward), Tom Davies (midfielder) and James Yates (rightback)
15 year old Barnsley defender James Bree turned down Manchester Utd http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk/news/article/bree-staying-with-barnsley-993728.aspx
Scholars do have to look strategically whether there is a path to the first team I think and united are stacked in that position throughout the age groups. I'd bet big money that united will make a move for Joe and Chris Willock this summer and/or next.
It would seem a strange move for them to jump ship at that age because surely the path to the first team would be quicker at Arsenal than United if they are good enough?, especially given the fact that Wenger seems obsessed with giving the young players a chance if he thinks they are ready
Rushain Hepburn-Murphy and Andre Green both from Aston Villa , Denver Hume and Daniel Wright both from Sunderland have been called too . I thought Rushain was a 97' but apparently I was wrong . http://www.avfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10265~3348275,00.html Joe Willock is born in 2000 .
Rushain Hepburn-Murphy, eh. There seems to be a lot of cumbersome hyphenated names popping up these days. I think I'll call him Murphy henceforth. Or maybe Rushy or Spud.
I think its harsh to say united don't give players a chance. We don't rush them into the first team asap to keep them happy then take them out for half a season Liverpool. Bar Wilshere Arsenal haven't brought any recent players into being first team regulars as Chamberlain is rotated around. Evans, Cleverley and less so Welbeck are all regulars now. How many other clubs in the PL have 3 players playing from the academy as regular first teamers, 2 of which have been with the club since 11 years old and 9 years old?
That's true but if they aren't good enough immediately then United comparatively tend to be more patient with their own scholars than Arsenal who do lot more acquisition at youth level. Arsenal also released their bigger brother who is now doing well for United and featured for the U18's after growing a lot physically and adapting to a different position completely as a DM. Guess, a lot of factors will come into play at that age including their school plans, parents, other club offers etc....
Another new name, Jack Vann of Leeds United. Yan Dhanda has also confirmed he is in. So basically we know - Jay Da Silva (Chelsea), Foday Nabay (Fulham) & Hugo Logan (MK Dons) have played Nordic and won't be involved. Darnell Johnson (Leicester) - DEFENDER Layton Ndukwu (Leicester) - LEFT WING Danny Collinge (MK Dons) - DEFENDER Jacob Maddox (Chelsea) formerly Bristol City - MIDFIELD Adam Phillips (Liverpool) - MIDFIELD Yan Dhanda (Liverpool) formerly WBA - Midfield Herbie Kane (Liverpool) formerly Bristol City - MIDFIELD Chris Willock (Arsenal) - WIDE PLAYER Kaylen Hinds (Arsenal) formerly Leyton Orient - FORWARD Hayden Coulson (Middlesbrough) Nathan Convery (Middlesbrough) Jake Thomas (Wolves) - FORWARD Nathan Holland (Everton) - FORWARD Tom Davies (Everton) - MIDFIELD James Yates (Everton) - DEFENDER (RB) Rushain Hepburn-Murphy (Aston Villa) Andre Green (Aston Villa) Denver Hume (Sunderland) Daniel Wright (Sunderland) Callum Gribbin (Man Utd) - FORWARD Jack Vann (Leeds)
Andre Green is a winger, Hepburn-Murphy a striker. West Brom's Kyle Edwards is attending, and there's also a lad from Newcastle called Coulson, I dunno his first name, but he's in based on some Twitter friends and family scouring. Liverpool's Trent Arnold also amongst their representation, and Leeds United's Ryan Ferguson is going too. I'd expect Chelsea's potential representation to be reduced based on the fact we've got a young team in Russia this week featuring some eligible players.
